I wanted to see how the Phantom Standard's camera would deal with low light. The results were not that good, but despite the cameras short-comings, the video came out almost great. I am lucky to live in such a beautiful place.

Timelapse from 200 feet over the ocean

I use powerdirector and Avid studio pro, and did not use a stabilizer. It was just a quick experiment for now.

Timelapse from 200 feet over the ocean

Very nice. I don't know yet. I haven't messed with the settings. I had planned on doing some night time-lapse as well if it will ever stop raining here in Ca.

Timelapse from 200 feet over the ocean

Shot this with a cheap Phantom standard I just picked up on eBay. It was an impulse buy. Don't need it but it was so cheap I couldn't help myself. This video is about 16 minutes condensed to 20 seconds.

    making a quadcopter from scratch

Check out my homemade quadcopter's first flight. Finally. Plan on doing some fine tuning with the way the carbon fiber tubes sit on one another, but am quite pleased with the first flight.

It was entertaining for a short while.

    I finally got it right

I am still kicking myself for not getting it right (flight controller orientation) the first time.

Another crash & burn, but I figured it out.

Was there a lot of damage with your mishap? So far the only damage I have found is two props were cracked. I will look again thoroughly before I try again Friday.

Another crash & burn, but I figured it out.

What pisses me off about this is I knew the flight controller was suppose to be aimed towards the front, but I just spaced and had it at a 90 degree angle. Have a laugh at my expense.

    making a quadcopter from scratch

Unfortunately I took it apart prematurely I attempted to fly it several times but it kept flipping. Unfortunately the day after I took it apart i figured out what i had done wrong. The issue was programming ESC's. I posted explaining what is going on and what I did with it. Thanks for...

Homemade quadcopter failure. Not even in the sky.

This is what is left of my homemade drone project. I am doing a different approach. Only four screws will be used. I have used resin epoxy and Gorilla Glue to hold the frame together. I'm going to drill a couple of holes and use zip ties as well.

Homemade quadcopter failure. Not even in the sky.

This is the Tarot T960 I'm working on. I will post photos of the quadcopter I took apart and am rebuilding. I used a totally different approach this time. No screws, just a lot of resin epoxy.

Homemade quadcopter failure. Not even in the sky.

I simply was unable to program the ESC's correctly, a rookie mistake. A day after dismantling the quadcopter, the light bulb in my brain went on and I figured out where I had gone wrong. By that time it was too late. It was very simple. I had a wire in the wrong slot on the receiver when...

Cheerson CX-20 cant match the video quality of my Phantom

I don't completely understand what you are asking, but any additional buffer between the quadcopter and camera will absorb vibration, or at least that's the way I see it. I am making a small, not sure what to call it, but it is two pieces of carbon fiber with vibration balls in the middle that...
