    Zenmuse z15g calibration issues

If you ask me the balance has been knocked out by the crash. You may find that the whole Roll/Tilt section has rotated vertically around the rear horizontal tube. A Z15-GH2 will calibrate with no camera, a Z15-GH3 will not. It has to have the camera in place - and obviously balanced.

    DJI A2 Official Users' Thread

No extras. Just the A2 on an EVO with a LiPo at the front for balance. Was only supposed to be a routine first verification flight. I won't waste time guessing yet. I'll wait for the replacement A2. On the subject of the iOSD, I am wondering how one is supposed to glean useful fault-finding...

    DJI A2 Official Users' Thread

Only one reason. It's nice an' shiny - and it has a built in Rx. OK, two reasons. The hula-hoop training skid was made up to reduce breakage whilst testing a sick S800 that was behaving very badly. Now it gets strapped onto every new airframe for initial flights. I'm in Kenya and cannot afford...

    DJI A2 Official Users' Thread

Can't say I am that impressed with my brand new A2 on a brand new S800 EVO that came supplied with faulty retracts that only lift one leg. The video shows why it never left the ground for its first test flight.

S800 EVO - landing gear help.

Well I have just built an EVO and the landing gear is faulty. Only one leg operates. If you swap the servos the other leg works, so it is the control board. I'm really happy. That keeps my DJI score at 100%. 100% of everything I have bought from DJI has been faulty in one way or another. First...

DJI Zenmuse GH3 gimbal - new firmware wanted!

Yes, I forgot to mention that. Although I can get reasonably smooth starts the speed change steps are quite obvious.

    Co-Axial naming conventions

er .... well done Bart. Always wondered what a 'Hex' is, even a 'Quad' for that matter! :) The question was related purely to naming conventions for co-axial motor airframes. But I think we have settled it. Droidworx are the odd ones out for misnaming their Sky Jib X8 as an X4.

    Co-Axial naming conventions

I get confused with Co-Axial naming. If you have eight motors on a four boom airframe in a co-axial arrangement, i.e. four pointing up and four pointing down, is this an X4 or an X8? You see, part of the confusion comes out of good ol' Bart referring to his favourite "XY" airframe that combines...

DJI Zenmuse GH3 gimbal - new firmware wanted!

..... with DJI gear of any model, its a 50 / 50 chance you're getting a lemon. I have not heard much from Zen-5D owners. Does that one function in the same way as the Z-GH3, with the noisy motors and bouncy moves ... and jerks? With regard to the Z-GH2 mounting, I was immediately unimpressed...

DJI Zenmuse GH3 gimbal - new firmware wanted!

I have to say that the only thing I like about the Z15-GH3 over the modified GH2 version is the easier access to the camera controls. The way that the 3 works is entirely different. The aggressive and bouncy Return To Home and 90° tilt movements are really shabby compared to the smooth movements...

    BMPCC, GH4, 5DmkIII, NEX7...did I miss any?

ching, ching = two cents, Bart ....: A 'Do-It-All' never really works in any field of activity. To a greater or lesser extent the outcome is invariably compromise. I have been using a GH3 pretty exclusively for a while, but that is because I have been filming video only. As long as 1080HD is...

    Colin Guinn Injuction Video

I was unaware of a 'SpaceX incident'. However, a quick Google has brought me up to date. Ooops! Someone has been getting carried away with themselves. So if that story is true then it presents a motive for DJI to cut the ties. Curiouser and curiouser. Regardless, I still like the idea of DJI...

    Colin Guinn Injuction Video

So this article essentially corroborates the contents of Hookem's censored post. DJI was looking for distribution in the huge US market, they hired Guinn & Co. and then, once he had it all up and running, they pulled the rug and forced him out of business so that they could get the cash direct...

Nice job. Well done. It takes some balls to fly all day at sea. As for the BMPC, be happy that you were able to simply take the (perfectly acceptable) Nex video and edit it straight away into a clip without any other messing about. You wouldn't have got much footage anyway with the BMPC -...

    Colin Guinn Injuction Video

I know where you're coming from and I really do empathise. People like Guinn can be pretty hard work. But to give him his dues, he did put considerable energy into promoting the DJI brand and products and now it is somehow looking like DJI may have tried something naughty. What do you expect...

    Colin Guinn Injuction Video

The blurb claims that DJI was involved with the Cineron project and perhaps that is when the original connection between them and Colin Guinn was made, with DJI looking for foreign distribution channels. The video production certainly has a lot of 'DJI' about it. But there is also some good ole...

    Colin Guinn Injuction Video

I reckon most of us first learned of Colin Guinn with the Cineron project. Whether or not he is a 'good guy' or a knob he is certainly passionate about r/c heli's and the multi-rotor evolution and I am sure he has done a whole load of good work for DJI. As many around here know from personal...
