    Anti Vibration mount

I tried them on the HiSight II on the Hoverfly quad which is a Hexa frame modified to only have 4 arms, it actually made the vibration factor worse to the point where I started getting the jello effect on the GoPro where there was none before. Removing the mounts and adding some extra bracing...

    Anti Vibration mount

Yes it will. The idea seems sound, whether or not it will do what I need it to remains to be seen, but for $20 something it's pennys compared to what I've already shelled out  If that doesn't pan out, I've got another idea that should though I'll have to wait till it warms up a bit so I...

    The Silver Bullet

Not yet, I have 2 Gaui GU 344 hanging around, want to buy a couple...;) The KK is a very basic controller, gyros only, no accelerometers, end result is you have to fly that puppy manually. Because there isn't a lot of intelligence on the board they're great for stick banging and aerobatics...

    Anti Vibration mount

Not at all, it lives under the Droidworx Hexa, I need something better than the HiSight II I currently have under the Hoverfly quad but I'm not going to spend PhotoHigher $ to do it. I think the multi axis standard they have at Avertical View is an interesting setup for not a whole lot of money...

    Anti Vibration mount

Interesting stuff and that may well be the answer to being able to use my Canon Vixia on one of the multi's, I'll find out around the of March when it gets here. Should arrive shortly after the new mount from Avertical so I can put the two together and hang it all under the Hoverfly. Ken

The Postal Service has lost my motors

Update, the official reply landed in my inbox earlier today 2/22/11, as expected it's basically a form letter reply that says nothing I didn't already know. Here it is in it's entire unedited text, typos and all... "I am writing in response to Case ID 104391773. Thank you for allowing me to...

Time for a new project or two

Now that the USPS has officially lost my Pulso motors and speed controllers I decided to take a slightly different track for a bit. The intent was to put the Pulsos on the Hoverfly quad because in the current motors there's a rumbly bearing in one and a slightly tweaked shaft in another courtesy...

    Hiya all From Montreal, Canada

Welcome Bill, glad you could join us! I think you'll like it here, no pressure, no agendas, just talk about about Multirotor copters. Montreal is a great city, it's been far too long since I've been there. Last time was a weekend trip to the Grand Prix race though that was a long time ago...

    Graupner 11" E-props

Best delivery from Electric has been around 7 days, last shipment was more like 11 or 12, that's why I order lots at a time. In a worst case I generally have enough spares on hand of any size I use to replace all of them that are currently flying though if I crash hard enough to break all 4 or 6...

    MKTR Tests

Looks good, definitely getting there, I never had the patience to keep tweaking the mkTR like you do. How is it that you have no snow on the ground and we still have 2 plus feet up here, you're not that far away??? I did find out they managed to get the road plowed into the club flying...

    Wearable/portable ground station

Sounds good but I'm kinda busy with other projects at the moment, can you build one and try it out for me first? ;) Ken

    Graupner 11" E-props

The dimensions are identical to the 10 inch, I have both here. Bore hole is the Graupner standard 8mm, hub thickness is 7mm. Ken

    Latest Info on Photohigher mounts

I think I saw a post over on Ziggys site that you got this taken care of, good fix on that one. I'd like to know what you think of the Pro Mini once you get a chance to use it a bit. The new ones off the line are coming with the Savox servos which yours has and I have the last generation...

    Interesting flight controller board

http://www.procerusuav.com/Downloads/DataSheets/Kestrel_Flight_Systems_2010.pdf I haven't heard of this one before but it appears to have everything you could want in a board at a very small size factor. Then again it should have every capability under the sun for $5k per...!!!! If you...

The Postal Service has lost my motors

Today is day 21 since tracking information declared the package on its way from USPS sort facility in Ohio, both myself and the shop I ordered from have declared the shipment lost and my $ has been refunded. I have yet to hear anything on the official inquiry I opened with the USPS but at this...

Community build project - LotusRC Quad

I've been checking in on the original thread and I see that it quickly slid downhill into a lot of whining, complaining, and personal attacks, kind of reminds me of my dogs fighting over the last crumb of food at feeding time. If you followed Z06Tony in his xaircraft tester thread, I can see the...

    New member introductions??

I'll second that, it would be nice to hear from new people and have them join in the discussions. Everyone is welcome regardless of skill level, we were all new to multirotors at one time and we're here to help. Say hello and post a new topic or just jump into a topic that's already going, we'd...

Cleaning dirt out of brushless motors

Don't know about your case but in mine it would have to be both plus dinner at her favorite restuarant plus a replacement camera, and then I'd probably have to sleep on the couch for week as well ;) Ken P.S. I've done a couple test flights with the Hoverfly the last two days trying things...

    Wearable/portable ground station

My main FPV ground station has a patch antenna mounted on a cheap camera tripod and it plus all of the rest of the gear fits into a plastic Stanley toolbox I bought at the local Walmart. Here's the contents of that box... This is how I usually setup the reciever and power, then I cable to...

Cleaning dirt out of brushless motors

Hmmm, sounds like a flight gone bad for sure! Best way I've found to make sure a motor is clean is disassemble it, they really aren't very difficult to take apart and it's the only way to be absolutely certain you got all the dirt out. Usually all you need to do is take the circlip off the shaft...
