    Cinestar ???

RCHover in Foxboro has the F330, F450, and F550 kits in stock along with the Naza flight controllers and GPS modules, it's a 10 minute drive from the field in Mansfield, he's open on Saturday and Sunday and also stocks Graupner props to replace the unreliable DJI props. I usually head to the...

With my dedicated FPV quads I routinely fly a foot or two off the deck at 30mph and faster, I also fly them up to several hundred feet to enjoy the view from up there. There's a BIG difference screaming along the ground FPV with goggles on a relatively inexpensive quad vs flying a fully loaded...

Naza for FPV & 10" prop

In an area like that with a lot of close together structures you would need to do that to get any kind of reasonable range, the flip side is you shouldn't even consider flying FPV, or flying at all in an area that congested with homes, towers, powerlines etc. If you look closely you'll see two...

    GPS pirouette

Won't happen except under perfect conditions like a perfectly balanced multi and zero wind and even then it's a maybe. The problem is the GPS senses the movement and has to recompute the coordinates as its moving to try and keep the aircraft in place, the update process simply isn't quick enough...

The GoPro I was referring to is the one I use on my TBS Discovery FPV quad, this flight was the first time I've flown the Cinestar 6 using only FPV gear while recording the video with a Sony Nex 5N. Flying a multi that big and heavy with video goggles is a lot differenet than flying an FPV quad...

    Cinestar ???

My best advice to you is to do it the other way around, be the camera man to someone that is already a proficient pilot. You can literally spend years getting to the point where you fly well enough to get the aircraft in position and hold it there to get the shot. If you really want to see what...

    Show your FPV video

My first attempt at doing a video recording flying solely via FPV goggles vs. just flying FPV with a GoPro recording. It ain't as easy as you might think, especially when the FPV camera is on a stabilized gimbal next to the main camera... Ken

    NAZA/GPS Vs WKM

The short answer is the WKM has or will have a lot more features than the Naza, things like multi waypoint flight and circling a POI (point of interest)if you need that sort of thing. The other is that it interfaces with the fancy high dollar DJI camera gimbals which the Naza can't and mostly...

    Mikrokopter MK or DJI....

Fly a well tuned MK with a high quality gimbal recording 1080P video in windy conditions of 15 to 20mph and then put the same camera on the CS8 with a WKM and record more 1080P in the same conditions and compare the results, you'll see why the MK is recommended. I have both MK and DJI flight...

A newbie question about props and battery combination for AP

Doubling up the batteries does not double the flight time, the additional weight of the second battery takes its toll. If you're getting 9 minutes now you might get to 14, maybe 15 with a second battery unless you're flying a stripped down frame for the express purpose of maximizing flight time...

    APC 8X6 on stock F450?

General rule of thumb, more cells in the battery = smaller prop needed, less cells in the battery = larger prop needed for the same size motor. I'm flying my all stock DJI electronics F450 on 3S 5000 packs and Graupner 10 x 5 props. I've tried it on 11 x 5 and the Naza doesn't like those, too...

Naza for FPV & 10" prop

Depends on what you want to do with it, people are flying them on the QAV500 and say they work great on that. I havethe KK2.0 on a DJI F330 frame with Alpha 370 1340kv motors and 8 inch props, the thing is an absolute rocketship and insanely quick on the sticks but the needed stability for video...

    Cinestar 6 + YS-X6 flight controller

I recently sold the second WKM I had because it wasn't being used, sorry, but I don't really need another one at the moment. I've got far too much unused gear hanging around and it's about time to start moving out things that are 100% functional but gathering dust, after all does one really need...

Naza for FPV & 10" prop

Yes, those motors are way more than you need even for a TBS Discovery. I used the Avroto 2814 on my QAV500 when I first set it up and the QAV is considerably heavier than my TBS Discovery, they were far too much motor for even that frame carrying a 4S 5000 pack with GoPro, Naza/GPS, Immersion...

Latest vid with new Sunex lens on GoPro

I have a Sunex lens that I used for quite a while on one of my GoPro. What I found was similar to what you're seeing, it makes the slighest bit of motion visible in the video and is really only suitable for use on a proper 2 axis gimbal. I used mine on Photohigher AV130 mounts and usually it was...

    Mikrokopter MK or DJI....

I own all three of the mentioned flight controllers. If you want easy to setup and features that work as advertised 100% of the time go with DJI. If you want the most features that also work 100% of the time at the expense of complexity and a labor intensive build/setup/tuning process them go...

    Cinestar 6 + YS-X6 flight controller

There's something to be said for tried and true, so that's what I did. I repaired the AV130 gimbal and swapped back to the WKM flight controller on the Cinestar using the APC thin E 12 x 6 props and reflashed HK Blue Series ESCs. As an added bonus I installed one of my FPV cameras on the gimbal...
