    Align M690

Was in conversation with Addictive RC about this today. He's going to buy one for his business. I told him to keep me up to date on how it works out. Essentially I'll let a few others go first before serious consideration. The gimble is right reasonable in price though.

    Pixhawk Feedback?

Ya know, I keep hearing that from people but for the last 10 years I have yet to see an affordable 4 stroke that didn't used mixed oil in an under 100cc size class that didn't weigh more for less power. BTW, this is what I do for a living now;) JoeBob, You really can't know how pleasing it is...

Too heavy. The engine is out there but not a hobby item.

    Pixhawk Feedback?

If you were mass building what would your thoughts be about a 34cc engine that weighs less than the Zenoah, similar foot print, has better cooling, runs on gas but also possibly heavy fuel and/or injected;)? The injection stuff adds weight and electronic complexity though.

    Pixhawk Feedback?

No worries man, it was just a long standing thing for me with the hobby industry in general. I too think that once you get the hang of it you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

    Pixhawk Feedback?

You hit one of my hot buttons. After 45+ years in the RC hobby I've watched companies dedicated to the furtherance of the hobby spend tens of thousands of $$ to deverlop new technology and superior products only to have it copied by overseas manufacturers that have contributed absolutely...

    Pixhawk Feedback?

An in flight reboot of a copter FC would prolly work out the way DJI GPS pucks do. Trip the switch and all bets are off knowing where it's gonna go.

    Pixhawk Feedback?

jfro, I see things the way you do for the most part, although I believe that as long as we have access to higher level technology we should be able to own and use it. I'll keep buying as long as they are available. I won't get into the politics but our government has well demonstrated that...

    Pixhawk Feedback?

If flying anything with a flight plan use of the GCS, or laptop, is mandatory. Loss of link failsafe comes into play if you make a mistake and get too far out if you set it up. As for affordability, the military views a Hellfire missile as "disposable" and the cheapest version of that runs...

    Pixhawk Feedback?

The next thing to happen will be the Department of State jumping in to label it ITAR controlled technology while Boeing or similar looks for a way to say they had the technology first in order to take it away from the creator. They have a copter that could make good use of that technology if...

PMU voltage reading incorrect? - help wanted

I'd be all over that and pay the extra for over night shipping, if possible, if I was in the OP's shoes.

PMU voltage reading incorrect? - help wanted

Perhaps a slowly developing resistance issue inside the PMU from a deteriorating electrical component? If you had a spare it would be something to swap out for a comparison. This is risky but if a few test hover flights, say 5 or more, provided solid data of higher battery voltage for evey...

    Mexico City

In Mexico nobody is allowed to have guns yet everyone except gringos seem to have them, full auto, in today's world. Dangerous place now Kloner, especially if a cop or Federale is around.

    Beware, Diesel-Electric Locomotives

Thanks indeed. I now know not to try something like that again (at the locomotive) from that close.

    Pixhawk Flight modes

But not while in the current format of Drift mode, which was what I was referring to. Since the yaw channel is completely blocked to user input while in Drift you get whatever amount of yaw the code provides, which is only the amount necessary to match the demand in roll to change heading a...

    Tarot 680pro complete part list

Some of the questions indicate the experience level is a bit under developed for the undertaking, so I would agree that the OP might want to gain a bit more hand's on experience before trying to build a small size heavy lifter. It's troubling when someone with high desires takes on a project...

    Pixhawk Flight modes

Sounds reasonable but not possible to accomplish without having full input on all of the primary control axis;)
