    Long duration fpv setup

Agreed. If you feel the need to record video an FPV camera used with and external video recorder would fulfill the need, just without stabilization.

    Octo?

Happens like that. Some see something that might look cool and easy (it does) but once they're all in they find out it's a lot of work, not at all easy, and a massive amount of stuff to learn they may have no previous relationship with. Then the reality of how much time is required to become...

    Octo?

Check the classifieds section. There are a few in there that fit your requirements. Most are Cinestars but those are good aircraft. There's a really nice Vulcan 900 in there I would like to get my hands on.

    How to avoing descent wobble/oscillation???

Loose rule of thumb has PID's going lower as the aircraft becomes larger. Another loose concept is P generally runs about 1/2 of I. Whats the rated max thrust of your motor prop combination at the supplied voltage? About 1/4 of the total combined thrust is what you should be figuring the...

    Pixhawk Feedback?

The uBlox GPS puck on my X-8 is mounted on the folding mast provided by 3dR. The mast is a little shorter than the after market stuff made for DJI products. The wire is affixed pretty snug, zip tied top and bottom of the mast. Roughly 70 flights and no problems. I have very little airframe...

    Phobotic Centerpiece Brushless Gimbal Controller

That was a solid 20-25mph worth of wind, with larger gusts. If one watches the wind wave directions change they can gauge the movement of the copter.

    Glad you found some.

    US Base Retailer/E-Store

A lot of so called "hobby shops" survive off of most everything other than RC products. Best way I know of to starve to death is open a hobby business, so they push stuff like sewing, arts and crafts, Dungeons and Dragons, and whatever else has demonstrated a propensity for movement. Dreams...

    How to avoing descent wobble/oscillation???

PID's likely just a little too high, or descending too slow through the prop wash. If pretty low to the ground you could also be dealing with ground effect. NAZA has worked well for a lot of 800mm+ Cinestar's so the size of yours is not a problem.

    Pixhawk Feedback?

Whatcha mean by news? I've found flight modes available I didn't have with APM 2.6 and using Pixhawk things are working out pretty darn good overall. It's gettin used on larger and larger MR's with great success. Taking that to another level is that a lot of other controllers can't dial in...

    A2 Dilemma

I love it, brand loyalty that is. Some people have no issues (yet) so without qualifying the people that have had issues it's instantly presumed the user was the fault of the failure. So after 40+ years in all aspects of RC, 10 years of high tempo military grade/theater UAV operations as...

How Do You Avoid Sparking During Battery Connection

Nothing wrong with Anderson's I've been using them for various power supply connectors for a good many years but they won't have any preventative impact on first connection sparking. There is a down side in their bulk since they are a bit longer than many of the connectors that are used for...

    A2 Dilemma

In the instance I mentioned the individual assembles and test flies the aircraft prior to them being shipped to the customers. He referenced a number of experienced issues. OTH, since they are doing the assemblies and shake down flights I doubt they would get many returns since the problem...

    A2 Dilemma

I have a friend that works in one of those locations assembling the aircraft. One of our conversations definitely contradicts what you were told. He said they have had their share if issues with A2. I think you were told what DJI wants their dealers to say, which is to deny there are any...

    Align M690

Don't know if they are for sale quite yet. They have it pictured as an option for the M690 at Addictive's website. The conversation I had with John put the pricing at ~$1,800.00, roughly same as the 690 kit. Two axis, which is just fine for me since I don't chase anything and can yaw a copter...
