What size props on a DJI 450 with GPS and GOPro mounted ?

Thanks for that Drioder (nice looking quad you have there - why the two cameras - 3D results perhaps ?) I will try mine with a pair of 2200 lipos to see what happens. Currently I use a single 2200 30C lipo.

What size props on a DJI 450 with GPS and GOPro mounted ?

Hi there Jackella Just weighed her complete with 3 cell lipo and she sits on the scale at 1400 grams, so a bit lighter than yours ? My problem is that the last few flights she has descended after about 1.5 minutes, and sits about 3 inches above the ground in GPS mode. I will try her with...

What size props on a DJI 450 with GPS and GOPro mounted ?

Can anyone tell me what is the best prop size for a DJI 450 quad (X mode) that is carrying a DJI GPS, 5.8 GHz transmitter (Fat shark), and a gimbal mounted Go Pro without case. I am currently using 10 x 4.5, but do not have much lift. It used to be fine before the GoPro was added. Thanks - Ian

    Setting full/low thorttle on a quad's ESC's ?

Thanks for that Kloner. I did try a few (older) lipo packs, but will try it with some brand new ones that have just come in and are currently on charge. Glad to hear that the DJI ESC's do not need calibration though Cheers Ian

    Setting full/low thorttle on a quad's ESC's ?

I have a DJI 450 with NAZA gear on board. My problem is that despite a fully charged lip, it will only stay airborne for a very few few minutes. I do not have the voltage check system enabled. I suspect that the ESC's do not know the full throttle setting, and have done the usual (for helis...

Naza + GPS + 3-way switch - How do you do yours?

Glad it has helped someone Javier, it can really confuse you, especially if you change the control switch setup after doing the GPS calibration. :shame: Ian

Just some Friday flying with my Naza/GPS

Hi there Kyle Nice video - very smooth flight. I am relatively new to all this, and have a DJI 450 with NAZA gear + GPS on board. I am getting it more and more stable, but would really like to know what radio range settings you use for throttle., pitch ( I use heli mode) etc. I am carrying...

Wiring the Receiver to the MC to control the GPS options ??????

Hi there Ed Thanks very much for that feedback. My confusion was because I set up manual gimbal control first, so I was using the channel needed for IOC. I was also very surprised to find that my auto gimbal steadying for roll and pitch still works despite there being no manual gain control...

Naza + GPS + 3-way switch - How do you do yours?

Just a word of warning if you set your control switch to GPS/Attitude/Fail-Safe. You will not be able to calibrate your GPS with those settings because you will NOT get the required solid yellow LED when you flip the control switch 6-8-10 times. You HAVE to have it set to GPS/ Attitude/MANUAL...

    Naza GPS compass calibration

Hey Sev Well done for publishing that trick of setting the control switch to GPS/Attitude /manual, and not GPS/Attitude/Fail-Safe to get the GPS to calibrate. I was also tearing my hair out trying the get that solid yellow display so I could get it to calibrate, and it worked first time after...

Wiring the Receiver to the MC to control the GPS options ??????

I JUST DISCOVERED WHAT CHANNEL TO USE - X1. I HAD THAT IN USE FOR MY GIMBALS AND DIDN'T REALISE THAT I CANNOT HAVE BOTH - SADLY. THANKS ANYWAY FOLKS - GOT IT ALL SETUP ON fMODE AND AUX2 SWITCHES NOW - GREAT STUFF. I have recently bitten the bullet and purchased the NAZA GPS upgrade. I have...

XAircraft Half a days time required please in the Scottish Highlands by Xaircraft User

I don't know if this helps, but as I am in Blackpool, I am a lot nearer than the guys in the States ? If you can get down here I can do my best to help you. I have an XAircraft 550 myself, as well as a NAZA 450, and have the relevant setup software. I am no expert per se, but I set radios up...

XAircraft New X525 owner with kk problems ?

Hi there everybody. Another "newbie" looking for a wee bit of hand holding !. I have recently acquired a S/H X525 with the black KK controller on board. This was flying just fine with the previous owner (of course!), but I am having problems trying to get the motors set up so that they lift...

Flight times anomaly - maybe ?

I am really pleased to hear that Pedro is also getting the same problem as I do, or not pleased but it does confirm my situation is not alone and therefore a local problem ? I have this X525 coming very shortly, so will test that out (it has the KKK controller) and see if there is any obvious...

Flight times anomaly - maybe ?

I have just bought a S/H X525 with the KKK controller on board. Apparently only been flown a very few times by someone who bought it on spec but has decided that although it is quite fun, he prefers planks. No problem to me, I got it at a good price, and just have to add my Rx and I will be...

Flight times anomaly - maybe ?

Hi Zooks Yes, I can see it reasonably well, but I must admit I maybe kept flying a little too long when it was at red. Even with a new Lipo on board, my PCM flashes green for a few seconds and then drops back to orange, so it seem as though it is maybe calibrating a bit pessimistically somehow. ?

Odd things happening with F450 + naza

Hi Rich You feel the end of the tether quite easily actually, because my tether system has a length of bungee rubber at the top to avoid those sudden jerks that could cause a crash. When the quad hits the top when going straight up and stretches the bungee, it simply stops in that position...

Odd things happening with F450 + naza

Correction to my previous post.... The figures I published were only the OFF LOAD voltages. The ON LOAD voltages dropped by a full volt - EEEEEEEEk. Back to the drawing board methinks. Cheers - Ian

Odd things happening with F450 + naza

Hi Jackella Well, I got around to doing some basic voltage checks using my jelly type Lead Acid (PB) battery from my nitro flight box as the power source. the first one was my initial FPV training tether system, which has a tether of about 5 feet long, but the power cable is longer so that the...
