    Weird problem with new ESC's

All trims are nil, no mixes, my throttle range has nbeen set to 100% both ways and up to the 150% that my DSX9 allows - no difference. It seemed to me that the motors did spin faster when wired direct to the Rx. ? Could this indicate a fauilty NAZA controller perhaps.

    Weird problem with new ESC's

Ain't that just the truth buddy - it's driving me nuts WTF ??? If it is what I think, then yeah, that sums it up. New ESC's, new PMU, working motors, no GoPro on board, so AUW must be less than 1200 gms, but no lift. It is almost as though it doesnt recognise full throttle, even with the...

    Weird problem with new ESC's

Hi Kloner Done that completely, all motors spun up when attached to the Rx throttle channel itself (red wire connected). Removed red wire, plugged all into the NAZA controller, set it all up on the Assistant - latest version. Motors now initialize on CRC, BUT even with totally full 2200 11.1v...

    Weird problem with new ESC's

Hi Kloner I guess I am having a really "blonde" moment here, but despite setting up a great many ESC's for helicopters over the last xx years, I am still not getting much success here. Can I ask for a step by step confirmation of the process I need to do on this NAZA system. MY take on it...

    Weird problem with new ESC's

OK, set them up using my programming card, THEN pulled the red pin on the first one and attached it to naza controller. It is not picking up the throttle setting ? I just get the std single tune, then drop the throttle, but no confirmation. I tried it with red wire back in, same result ...

    Weird problem with new ESC's

Hi Kloner Can I clarify this precisely ? Using the NAZA controller and power supply unit, should I (or indeeed, MUST I) cut the red wire to be able to use the Pentium 40s' with with it. ? I understand about insulating them away once cut

    Weird problem with new ESC's

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the NAZA opto ESC's do not need the red wire cutting, BUT other ESC's do, such as my new Hobbywing Pentium 40's ? Can anyone say definitely if I should cut them ? Any responses would be very welcome. my Quad is dead right now.

I have not had a chance to ask him yet, but I have now received the new PMU and fitted it - NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL, so that was not the problem...

cannot get motors to spin up after upgrading to latest 2.02 firmware and 1.8 assistan

I will try that Kloner for sure, but do not hold out much hope As you say to have 3 or 4 props all doing it is just to much to be coincidence. I have just ordered a new power supply unit to try out, that should be here tomorrow, so will update you once I bolt it on. If that fails I give up...

cannot get motors to spin up after upgrading to latest 2.02 firmware and 1.8 assistan

Unfortunately, I bought it from the USA (CORRECTION - they are based in Hong Kong), but I am in the UK. It was bought from flying-hobbies.com ? Do you know anything about them, or their support offerings ? Could it be something as dumb as the DJI Power supply module being faulty ? As you can...

cannot get motors to spin up after upgrading to latest 2.02 firmware and 1.8 assistan

I just added individual jumper wires across all of the pads on the DJI board distribution board to be absolutely sure, and now the motors only turn about 1/2 rpm per second - this really is driving me nuts now. !!!!! Whatever I do with this NAZA gear it just seems to get worse ...

cannot get motors to spin up after upgrading to latest 2.02 firmware and 1.8 assistan

Hi Kloner I would normally agree with you aboput the lipo, but I have tried 2 brand new Turnigy lipos, both do the same. Even a known good 2650 Mah does it. Could this indicate a bad connection/strip in the power distribution circuit in the F450 board I am using perhaps ? I cannot think of...

cannot get motors to spin up after upgrading to latest 2.02 firmware and 1.8 assistan

Well, it seems that I was wrong about the throttle power !! It was possible to try to fly it yesterday but it would only just lift off the ground in any mode, and was very twitchy in the air. I have tried it using Acro and Heli models now, and both give roughly the same results. I will setup...

cannot get motors to spin up after upgrading to latest 2.02 firmware and 1.8 assistan

Hi Kloner Right, did the brand new setup as an acro, and took a lot of care with th eATV settings for all of the gimbal axis, making sure they "just" got to both ends, and then a little bit more. Presto, The damned throttle is working correctl again !!!!!! Why that should be is totally beyond...
