First thing I'd try, is to do a "storage charge" if your charger has that option. Then do a full charge, and see what happens. I'd monitor the whole process, as something might be wrong with the batteries, and you don't want no fire and smoke!

Looks like the manufacturers are aiming at "fly out of the box" stuff, instead of building your own from parts. The problem I see in that is when they go with components that are specifically designed for that particular machine, and will not fit anything else. Like batteries, props, cameras...
