    Another one bites the dust...

My TDR helis weigh just over 5 kilos which is not much more than a standard 3D machine, but with the new Zoom function, I could and would have done that job with complete safety and not flown anywhere near the crowd. Stop building heavy lift crap and learn how to use Targa files if you really...

    Another one bites the dust...

What you guys tend to forget is that flying the alternative full size helicopter camera ships is also not without risk. Since I started flying helicopters in the mid seventies I have known of at least twenty people who have killed themselves and others in low level filming activities. Those...

WOW!!! talk about risky aerial filming. No MR's but...

One of the best I have seen. These guys only put themselves at risk, so it's cool.

DJI Zenmuse has no value anymore.

Now there's a thought, Come to think of it, it's been mounted on just about everything else. IT'S LEAST IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE WAS ON A S800

I just want to know when those pet eaters in Shenzhen are going to supply spare parts for the Gimbals that already have sold.

    Legality of Aerial Photography?

Fact is that no aviation authority really gives a dam unless they can make some money from it.

    Legality of Aerial Photography?

I had a guy walk up to me at my local Akrotiri flying site and take a look at my FPV motor glider. He said WOW in my country (Israel) it is illegal to own such a device.

    My brushless gimbal result

Stacky What would be the point of a differential focus pull, typically, to draw the eye to another point of interest when all that is between the subject and some point in between is generally fresh air. As you cant pull the focus anyway it is irrelevant is it not? Why would you want some part...

    My brushless gimbal result

Nice work, but I think the barrel lens distortion would be a no no for many high end clients. At least in my experience that has always been the case. They expect the video to look like the CGI. i.e. verticals to be vertical and not bent at the sides. You can fix that in post. Get you head...

    My brushless gimbal result

At last the penny is starting to drop. The shallow depth of field preferred by cinematographers with their feet stuck to the ground, has no place in aerial filming. Smaller sensors are coming with smaller and better lenses. (much smaller) If you believe the Jim Janice hype about the unequaled...

    FreeFly's direct drive gimbal...

You have to keep the wind from the camera with a shield.

    FreeFly's direct drive gimbal...

Bold and old pilots do exist, so Big balls is probably more accurate. Ha, The only April fool is the one who still believes that 35 mm full frame is the way to go. You would need a 480 mm lens on a Red to match this level of zoom control. If you could lift it, it would not reach the required...

    FreeFly's direct drive gimbal...

It's already obsolete This thing is a grand including the camera, I can make the final image 5K or what ever you want it to be. The use of full frame sensor lenses like those used on the Red and the 5D's etc. are totally wrong for aerial work. Thats apart from the weight. The penny has not yet...

    My brushless gimbal result

Here's mine. Actually it has 8 axis of stabilisation movements. Two of which are Alexmos. Brushless 5 are inside the lens and one is on the tail rotor. Not only light years ahead of the Zenmuse it saved almost 2 kilos in weight and can hold 40X zoom. The cover is to prevent prop. wash.

    Zenmuse repair

That was the first place that I tried:upset: If it goes back to China you will get all kinds of run around. Last time I did that, I did not see it for 5 months. We need a proper service manual and a spare parts list.
