    The DJI rant thread

Quote: The NAB-show had evidence where their future business will be: Toy copters like the Phantom (PHANTOM=Plastic-Helicopter-And-Now-Tested-On-Morons, credit goes to gadgetkeith, http://www.multirotorforums.com/showthread.php?11108-Phantom-newbie-pilot-OOPS!), presented by the new CEO...

    The DJI rant thread

I really think that this is a well overdue thread that should be kept going at all costs. OK, DJI have made a very large number of fundamental errors particularly with code upgrades and product releases that were not properly tested. Quality control that is almost non-existent and a stone wall...

    The China Syndrome

Stacky I am afraid that is a wrong assumption. Many who are fooling around lifting Reds Etc. are limited to ultra wide angle lenses in close. Not much more than could be achieved with a good crane. (Also a lot safer.) The next generation of SR Helis will have switchable heading lock...

    The China Syndrome

Chris that just bring it home in more detail. It is time to stop buying from them. Turkey is where I went for my last book printing. Slightly more expensive but better quality. If I were buying a new MR system right now (and Im not) I think it is a toss up between AMP 2.5 and Autoquad-6 FWIW...

    GoPro 3 ... and a half

Yeah but maybe they have after sales, ha ha. If it's made in China then forget that one.

Beijing 2013 Hobby Expo pictures and news

I think that this company is more than capable of overtaking DJI on the technology front. Many would say that they have already done that. I never heard of any complaints, unlike DJI....... Any one out there care to comment on that fact? Just wish they would make a Heli stab. with the same...

    The China Syndrome

It would seem that DJI are not alone in their disposable policies. I received this reply from GoPro after my Hero-3 stopped working and I quote from Nick at GoPro "Yes that is correct we do not repair our products as the costs are too high compared to issuing a new camera. We manufacture in...

This is not a mosquito! Amazing, please read (particularly the last line)!!

I expect it will have larger carriers that will dispense them and communicate with them. They could also refuel them. They could take out the enemy with a tiny squirt of Sarin.

    Another one bites the dust...

We use WaterBuoys which self inflate when they go under, each one lifts about 1.6 kilos. Never needed to see how well they work. I always design stuff so that batteries will detach in a crash.

Just don't risk buying from CSG, you may get it but probably you wont. Very dodgy outfit.

MR aerial cube challenge - Autoquad = this is how MR GPS should be!

So how much of this new code will rub off on the heli. version?

    Wookong IMU V2

Well said Flash I think they mass produced a lot of crap and got the dealers in to buffer the damage. They have no intention of servicing the products they make. As long as they can keep people preoccupied with new product enticements, screw the existing customers as they consider everything...

New Align 800 cameraship - Needs some work!

Rob how close is that Ardu. now? I think that apart from the standardization of 700 size heli. parts, the size is a good balance between what you can easily see and move around the sky and the ease of transport.

New Align 800 cameraship - Needs some work!

Sorry for the late reply but no is the answer, I don't want to get any bigger on rotor size. Asymmetric spin blades at 710 length are well over 200 grams so that is starting to get into the unknown with head speed safety. Endurance is not an issue so I don't need to do it.:tennis:

    Alexmos 3rd axis sample

Chris Whereas the Trekker is an awesome machine I see a few disadvantages. The first is that you will have to get all new batteries 14s and I really think that the days of heavy lift are coming to an end. The 700 size would be my choice with T-Rex but then you will need to engineer a camera...

    Alexmos 3rd axis sample

This is the cheapest solution to all of the problems with remote filming, It just happens to also be the best that I have ever used. Everyone keeps asking what's under that cover. Well here it is.
