Where to buy power wire and accessories online

You want silicone wire, Its soft and flexible. 12 or 14 will probably be ok for a F450. Hobby king has it and everything else but Hawaii isn't going to be cheap for shipping. You can get heat shrink and zip ties at home depot or Lowes. Hobbyking.com is pretty much a one stop place but I always...

NAZA Startup LED Meanings - Explained

I'm not familiar with the turnigy but I'm assuming you have bound the receiver to the transmitter. The next step would be to connect to the naza assistant and go from there.

Time to start a new build (with help)

A flame wheel 450 (quad) or 550 (hex) is a very popular frame. Parts are very common, there are tons of them flying so there are a lot of good build videos on you tube and even here. price is affordable.

Which frame should I use 680 or 810

I use a Naza M V-2 on both of my Tarot's. I have never had any problems with DJI. I know some people like to hate on them and there are other choices out there but DJI is pretty much plug and play. I built a mini 250 with a CC 3D on it and it worked well. If I were to consider another FC I would...

Which frame should I use 680 or 810

I have been told the 680 (hex not quad) will carry NEX sized cameras just fine but I have not tried it personally. I have a go pro on mine. That could be a deciding factor. If this will be your one and only craft and you don't expect to ever build another then consider the 810. If this is just a...

    Hexacopter crashed on take off

Yep, that sounds like the problem. You should make sure the LED is giving you the right indications before take off. Solid green is not the right indication.

Hoping for some help, new flyer, pro photographer building a uav for a DSLR

Have you ever gone to a tourist spot and had one of those photographers take your picture, run to go get it developed and then come back and try to sell it to you? Last time I was in Vegas our group had our picture taken like this. The wife loves these and always seems to get them. I would think...

    Bridge Inspections

I would think its still a fledgling industry and wide open. Industrial inspections and agriculture are two areas that are screaming to be exploited by multirotors. Companies are out there doing it but they have only scratched the surface. I have only seen a handful of web links to sites that do...

Hoping for some help, new flyer, pro photographer building a uav for a DSLR

If your going to use a DJI FC and Zenmuse gimbal then by all means get the phantom for a trainer and put a go pro on it. Another choice would be to build a flame wheel 450 or 550 and put a go pro on it. You will get some experience building and shooting before you go big. I would just go with a...

How to build a water-resistant multirotor (including barometer!)

I don't think it would be a huge problem if a bullet connector got wet, only if there was conductance between two bullet connectors (or the frame) would you have a problem. I simple rubber sleeve of some sort might suffice. There is a need for an intrinsically safe MR. If anyone ever wants to...

    Interesting problem

I would look at the led indicator and see what the status light indicates. If it blinks yellow that means it has lost comms with the transmitter. If you loose transmitter signal it is supposed to go to 20m, pause and then go to the home point.

InfinityMR Universal high performance gimbal for GH4/A7S size cameras

Well if there's one great thing about this forum it's the sharing of what people are using. I have been looking for those rail clamps and now I have found them. Thanks!

    buying or building

I started with a phantom as well. I like building my own but have to admit anyone with a little cash can have the same or better than I can build, It's a little frustrating but I like following where this technology is going and participating in it in a small way. I definitely feel like I have...
