    Tau Labs Showing Off

Meh.... I want to see someone toss an CC quad in the air, pick up the radio from the ground, scratch their head at least twice, flip a switch on the radio, and then have the quad park itself in the air. Only then I will be impressed. :) Seriously, I would love to get one of these boards...

    Tau Labs Installing GCS

No it's not. Thank you Dave. I've been lurking on the project long enough and spying on the chat every once in a while. I see what you guys do and how you interact and plan. It is indeed a special project with many great minds. I hope to make some contribution at the point where I can actually...

    Mikrokopter Dead compass board

They shouldn't just die. I'd like to see why. If you want to send it to me, my wife will bake you a broken parts pie. (I don't know how that rhyming thing happened.) Shoot me a PM if you want.

    Vuzix Wrap 920 video eyewear

    So what's wrong with them?

Tau Labs OpenPilot custom mixer table

I'm going to put my CC board in a bi-copter and it looks like I'll need a custom mixer setup. There is currently no information in the wiki to setup custom mixing. What are the number ranges? +- 100? +- 64? +-50?

The more I have to deal with PID the more I like KK boards!

Ken, Try the dev code on the quadrino. It has a better algorithm. Also, if you use the compass, there is a code change that must be made.

    Placement video transmitter on frame

One of these days I'm going to collect all of those stock dipole antennas I own and burn them. Does that answer the question? :)

Tau Labs Whats all the fuss about CopterControl

I'm building a new bird just for the CC board that's on order. I really wish they would have put on a baro sensor and a magnetic compass though. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait for the OpenPilot board for that.

    Mikrokopter Crashed

$190. Expensive, but I don't mind spending for tools. Especially when they save time and avoid damage.

    Mikrokopter Crashed

I was just trying to remove a through hole pin header on the quadrino board. I wanted to remove it in one piece and was having a hard time. Then I thought of this tool and well it's only money right? Order placed. I have an 8x3 header on my RX that I want to pull and that desolderer is the...

Howdy - Multirotors for tropical forest research and conservation

I almost forgot about that CP antenna that Hugeone came up with. I was waiting for the build specs but I missed that thread. Thanks. That's what I will build.

    The anonymous Newb

That really depends on if the person wants to learn to build a quad or just wants to learn to fly without breaking the bank. This looks appealing to me for a good DIY first timer's kit or even for someone who wants a mini quad...

Howdy - Multirotors for tropical forest research and conservation

It's raining in VA so he's probably hard at work making new antennas. It looks like they are in stock now. He also makes them for ReadyMadeRC btw. I ground tested my Skew-planar antennas to 1/2 mile in terrible conditions. Well outside of radio range for my Futaba 2.4Ghz. In your case, you...

Howdy - Multirotors for tropical forest research and conservation

Very interesting Shawn. BTW, On your downlink, I can see a filter from OMM/Rusty and an inverted V antenna. The particular V antenna you have is poorly designed. Talk to the guy who brought those into the FPV world - IBCrazy on RCgroups. He's going to say that the antenna lead should come out...

The Copter Control board is here!

Below is the link to get the new open source CopterControl board from the OpenPilot project. http://forums.openpilot.org/topic/4702-inital-op-stores/page__pid__13468 Be warned though. This is for early adopters and people who like to get their hands dirty so don't get your panties in a wad if...

    Any multiwii gurus among us?

What speed controllers are you using? The multiwii does prefer the faster controllers. Turnigy Plush and the rebrands seem to work well. Try posting your setup in the RCG thread. Someone will know the answer.

    Motor testing and rewinding info

That's correct Pip. The idea is to use every other wire for the motor and the other three are soldered together for star or wye. BTW, Welcome to the site.

    Motor testing and rewinding info

The DLRK winding tutorial is the second to last link I posted in the first post. On that same thread is a delta and star wind method with great description and pictures.

    Hi everyone

Ignore this Buzzed. It's open source and open hardware and they won't go anywhere with the project. //Sarcastic mode off I predict greatness.

    Hi everyone

Welcome Edourd and Dankers. Sunday ehhh? Awesome. I've been waiting since that first post on RCG a year ago or so.
