Frame Suggestions for OP CC & FPV

Here's a bunch of frames. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1382503 I have one of rusty's mini quad frames waiting for motors. I'm not sold on the round tubes yet. Will update after a few test crashes. I'd love to have a frame designed specifically for a gopro with tilt only...

Tau Labs Mounting of OP CC boards

Hi Frederic and welcome to the forum. You did that vibration tool many months ago. Do you still find that it is useful or is it easier to just go old school and manually balance?

    Thanks for being friendly

I think I know what that means but I still want it explained in non-kiwi English. :p A search on youtube for 'nurses blouse' didn't help much. :)

Tau Labs Mounting of OP CC boards

Dankers you may know this answer: FredericG did a vibration analysis firmware for MK. Has he done anything like that for OP/CC or is it not possible due to hardware filtering. I was really hoping for a vibration gadget in the GCS. Link here: http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/en/VibrationTest...

    Tau Labs CC Radio Failsafe

Multiwii is similar to MK. I don't recall what KK boards do.

    Tau Labs CC Radio Failsafe

Everyone should have a RX that has built-in failsafe, but what happens when communication between the RX and flight board fail? The CC code currently doesn't have a radio failsafe. There's no baro so a smart descent becomes difficult. Cutting the motors is not the proper way IMHO and I do...

Yes on the buzzer. No on the switch.

    Kalman filters

EDIT: Ooops I see I posted at the same time as Dankers who should be in bed. ;) I'll leave the post here anyway. The CopterControl board from OpenPilot.org is currently available. It has 6 in and 6 out. I just got mine and haven't played with it enough to know if it can do camera stabilization...

Tau Labs OpenPilot custom mixer table

I'm going for a bi-copter that just happens to have a wing shaped body. IOW, A twin tractor prop VTOL flying wing. I'm not sure what the control surfaces or wing will ultimately look like. For now I'm going with two motors on a couple sticks and elevons. I'll design the wing around it after I...

Tau Labs looking for wieght specs on CC board

Your welcome. Gary is probably right though. I just realized that I removed all those ugly pins and they probably weigh about a gram.

No you aren't being thick. I'm into magic? :p

Tau Labs OpenPilot custom mixer table

Yes, I will do that when I get a little further along. I'm not planning to control it by motor tilt like the other bi-copters that I have seen.

    Tau Labs CopterControl build

Yea, Ross. I was only thinking of using the 7805 for the CC and RX only. It gets too hot though. On this craft, I'm worried that the servos could get overloaded so I'll use the 5A SBEC for those. Good thing I checked the schematic. I almost tested it with a 12V regulator which would have...

    Tau Labs CopterControl build

I received the CopterControl board in the mail this mail this morning. Below is a size comparison between a Quadrino, an MK, and the CC board. I must say, it's some fine workmanship but I'm still going to take the iron to it. Buzzed: That Hakko 808 rocks. I'm going to lay the pins down...

I ordered mine from Chebuzz. It took 1 week via regular mail.

    Tau Labs Showing Off

Very nice. My CC board just came in the mail. I have a quad ready to go but no motors. Anyone know how long it takes RCTimer to ship?

    Tau Labs Installing GCS

Will it work with my tuning box? It uses regular pots on a joystick interface but encoder wheels would be optimal. No typos when you spin a dial.
