Carbon Fiber Props Deteriorating ~ Failing

I read several months ago that a good test for any carbon fiber prop before installing is to flex it and listen for pops or a cracking sound. This would indicate the the carbon fiber was weak and should not be used. I ordered several sets from RCTimer and started using them on two MC after...

    Batteries and what I found

I've wasted too much time fiddling with batteries and it's not worth saving a buck or two when it comes to flying expensive equipment with cameras attached. If you want to talk to the manufacture directly and get their personal recommendation as to what you ideally need call MaxAmps in Spokane...

    Problem with dji Evo2 S800

I have been chasing a very similar issue. The gain settings were the cause. My current setting are: 180.180.160.170 atti 160.160 It was the atti numbers that really made the difference. It may not hold a extreme specific position while in atti with the wind but it sure does respond a lot...

S800 EVO, S800, and DJI, Thoughts on Performance and Support

DJI offers a great range of products and I use them on my two multirotor aircraft. What they have failed to do is control the re-seller channel, there are hundreds of web sites that offer DJI products... the majority of them have no knowledge of these products. I spent $500.00+ this weekend on...

Video or photo capture using the Tx

Maverick, I currently have a LED trigger for the NEX shutter release. Do you think that the one you have is unique in the ability to control the shutter and start and stop the video? Did you do any adjustments to your Tx to allow this ability? -Bob

Video or photo capture using the Tx

I currently have my Futaba Tx configured to trigger the shutter on the Sony NEX camera using a 2 position switch. Starting a video capture requires manual operation before takeoff. Using a 3 position switch on my Tx can it be configured so that in one position it will start and stop a video...

Need help trouble shooting an in-flight twitch failure

During the last several flights on a RCT800 using the new DJI NAZA M v.2 I've noticed a unique twitch in the flight. It's like the chill twitch we experience.. short, sudden, and very noticeable. I have replaced the Tx and RX, disassembled and checked all the connections, still happens. Will...

Naza M GPS firmware 3.16 upgrade - lastest upgrade 3.16

Make sure the controllers are not reversed. The stick movements for the throttle and elevator are the most challenging. When moving these controls forward the software should show the arrow traveling to the right. Once that is confirmed, be sure and do an Advanced IMU Calibration and a Command...

what is the best ESC for Tarot 4114 320KV Outrunner Brushless Motor for Multicopter

Your answer is dependent on the props, battery and total weight of your multicopter. But with regards to the RCTimer ESC offering, I'm using their 40 amp ESC's with great results. http://www.rctimer.com/product_850.html

DJI Naza M Lite, brushless gimbal help.

It is my understanding that a brushless gimbal needs it's own controller. The NAZA is suited for standard driven servos, not brushless motors.

    F550/Naza/GPS in flight hickup

I'm having a similar problem except that after the twitch ( mine will twitch twice very fast) accrues the flight controls on the right side of the transmitter rotate 90 degrees. Makes it a difficult to land. I'm going to swap the Tx and Rx with another unit and test.

Is your dealer a Hobby Shop or Professional Partner?

FYI, the dealer I'm referring to is listed as an authorized DJI dealer on DJI's site. They have said several times that they are the largest DJI dealer in the US (selling 20+ fully built systems a week...) and that 80% of his business comes from professional customers. Hobby Shop is part of...

Is your dealer a Hobby Shop or Professional Partner?

Inquiring minds what to know. I'm having a struggle with my local dealer and would like a second opinion form those that are in this as a commercial application. I have been very local to the dealer in Atlanta and have purchased a large majority of products from them. Mail order sites can...

550 looking for 2 axis gimbal that will work with naza

I've installed the Sky Rover system, gimbal and landing gear. After upgrading to the Hitec's 7235 digital servos I've found that it works fairly well. There is no doubt that the new brushless gimbals will offer more stability but they require their own controller. http://skyrover.us/ Best...

    Prop size for F450 with T-Motor MT2216 900kv

$30.00 for two graupner props is a bit on the high side; but since they are not in production anymore this may be reasonable. The RCTimer CF 9x5 props are $32.93 for four (4) pairs. I've been using their CF 10x3.8 props with terrific results. With over $1,500.00 in camera gear along hanging...
