Is the camera/gimbal the same as the one on the Inspire? Looking forward to more feedback about where you guys get with this.

You definitely don't want struggle. I think you'd be able to be choosing between 9-10" props, so not drastically different in terms of stability. I found a video on YouTube showing a thrust test for the sunnysky 2212 980kv with various props, and 3S and 4S. Do a quick search. Should help you...

couple thoughts.... Do you already own 3S batteries? If so, I could see sticking with those. But if not, you might want to think about going 4S right off the bat. You'll probably appreciate it later - and it will give you more options for propping up/down depending on payload. I don't have...

Thank you for posting this - you seem to be fair and level headed about it. You might try sending a PM to @Tahoe Ed he is one of the DJI online reps. Maybe he can shed some light on dji's unwillingness to look into it. Sadly, it seems they may be busy dealing with batteries making Inspires...

There's no rush. You'll get there. And certainly kids should come first, although I don't have any - so I have too many Multirotors :)

I've seen people use this type of plate. If it can do lateral adjustments - even better. I think you'd need a replacement bottom section to donate to the gimbal so it is permenantly attached to the gimbal camera tray. Maybe not?

You're on it! And please understand, I did not mean my post to come off as a critique. I just realized that there is an obvious incentive not to crash - but also the potential for a negative side effect. Happy balance - just like the craft :)

If you're using the stock wiring on the ESCs - I think they're typically 16 gauge. KDE is 15??? Some weird size. I haven't had any issues with the main power wires - but I'm always sure to offer some stress relief. And checking the connections regularly should be part of your routine...

Is the crimped specifically for Anderson's? You need that - the other types make it a nightmare.

Did you do the calibration after changing the xyz?

As mentioned earlier - make sure your settings are correct for the physical GPS pick location. The positive/negative on the XYZ axis description in the assistant can be a little confusing. Also, check to see if you are supposed to angle the GPS for declination. This has always seemed hit/miss...

Are the sub-trims on you radio set to center/zero? Like Eskil said, make sure your craft is balanced and has good balance on the center of gravity.
