    Beep, Beep, Beeping ... ESCs!

It's the ESCs coupled with the superX that are the issue. As old man mentioned, the level of signal the esc wants to see to say "all safe, ready to arm" is not be provided by the superX, in the way the ESCs want to hear it. So tricking the ESCs into getting a higher level of signal (by raising...

    Tarot T810 build log

Like tundra says - just one reading doesn't give you the whole picture. You don't actually NEED any of these things. You could just do test flights with a voltage alarm and document the data on landing, as well as when you recharge the batteries. Then you use the timer in the radio for a given...

    Beep, Beep, Beeping ... ESCs!

I had the same issue with the superx and hobbywing. Old man is right - people have luck calibrating the escs with the throttle end point higher than normal (say -95 instead of -100). Then when done, put the end point back to normal and do your radio calibration in the superx.

Not under load. It pops back up to about that when it rests for a bit. I'm not sure if the mini has the same readout as the more expensive model - but it probably does have your voltage. I think the consumption meter mentioned is a telemetry module that is for the Taranis radio. The Taranis...

    Flipping during landing :(

I still think that the stick having "steps" shouldn't effect your ability to gently bring it toward the ground.

    Flipping during landing :(

Doesn't the ecalc show hover at 62%??? If so, I don't think that should cause the issue. 50% is ideal - but 62% is not beyond capability of landing, no? Not sure I understand the throttle explanation about 1 notch down from hover. While that should be the slowest, smoothest landing - when you...

New Release: KDEXF-UAS75HVC and KDEXF-UAS95HVC series ESCs

I heard a podcast interview with Patrick last night where he mentioned that the programming card that should be available soon will allow all their ESCs to be updated to the new firmware - which will take advantage of the regenerative braking and other upgrades they've come up with. Just need to...

You want to follow the 80% rule to make sure you don't over-deplete your batteries. The lowest you'd want to go is 3.36/cell. But honestly, these things are expensive, and keeping it even safer is a good idea for battery health. I typically land around 3.65v-3.7v/cell. Having telemetry to tell...

    Flipping during landing :(

If the machine is balanced, you should still be able to have a bit of a rough landing and not flip. It takes a little practice to lower it to the ground nice and smooth, and even then sometimes wind and ground effect can make it a challenge. The batteries below should definitely help with...

Hey, use the tool that works, right. Who gives a **** what it looks like :)

Wow. That seems like a fairly large omission :)

Oh damn. They really are getting these products out there ahead of support infrastructure. Do you have to update the battery the way you do for the Inspire? That seems to have been causing some issues for the Inspire owners.

Right there with you. This is all part of the fun :) Good luck!

Taranis offset not working naza assistant

Sounds good. Just make sure you redo all radio settings before you do Naza assistant radio calibration. If the Taranis is off a bit (trims, sub trims etc) then the Naza is writing those miscalculations to the FC. That would definitely cause an issue. The Naza should kick into fail safe if it...

Taranis offset not working naza assistant

Technically, there should be no settings in the Naza gains that effect a pull left/right. That's what's making this so mysterious. I think we are either talking radio or motors being askew (which it seems you have covered). If you haven't already. You might want to make sure all sub trims are...

    Next machine?

Wow. Learn something every day. Never knew the Scots were "tight." :) If you're into the learning curve - go for it. Head on over to the 3DR site and start researching what the FC/peripheral options are. If you determine what you'll need, you can always fill in the list with the hobby king...

    Next machine?

I think at this point we need to step back a bit. The one you just linked is another type of FC which will also take some time/effort to get to know. I think the pixhawk may offer what you want - and may be a little easier than the multiwii, but still - neither are "simple." So the question...

    Next machine?

Unfortunately - not usually. I think the cheapest that you can get into GOS assisted flight would probably be the Naza Lite. It has attitude (which I think is similar to loiter?), GPS and manual modes. There is RTH as a fail safe - but depending on the radio - there are some nifty ways to set it...
