Yes, I have flown mine. The calibration is flip GPS/Atti switch 6 times. Light goes green. Spin 720 with unit horizontal light goes blue I think and then spin 720 with nose pointed down light flashes done. Mine is flying very well. Just fine tuning gains! Also I sent the bad unit back yesterday...

I agree but this makes purchasing a unit from a known dealer like @GotHeliRC more valuable. If the unit is bad they are there to support you!

Have you considered a 1 axis gimbal that rolls the camera slightly as you pitch forward? That way your flight characteristics remain constant. I have seen several guys do this with much success.

I did not, I just got the two plates and the little "spacers" that allow you to mount the Tarot retracts. (I think they are included in the price cause you'd them to hide the bolts and allow the retracts to mount flush.)

$125 is for a top and a bottom plate. TOTALLY worth it, especially f you already have a vulcan frame.

The frame plates are worth every penny. I can not stress to you enough how stiff this carbon is. Really High quality. The only nicer carbon I have ever seen is the Hexacrafter frame. But compared to the stock vulcan frame plates, it's a no brainer.

What are your gain settings, where is the IMU located and how well is everything balanced? The A2 is very much more sensitive to vibrations and proper set up in the GUI. Make sure your CGI is correct (it's not where you put the IMG but where it is on your machine, so is your IMU above the CG in...

I have heard that you can stiffen the main frame plates on the S1000 and get even better performance. Gad your happy, that's 99% of the battle!

That too high a gain. The Naza manual has some decent 550 gain settings in the manual, just make sure your AUW is the same as they list.

The weather here in Ohio has been awful as well. We are almost in July and usually that means sun everyday, hot humid weather and low winds, so far this year it's been 30 mph winds, rain everyday and cold temps... IT SUCKS.

I used a jst, and mine booted up and I was able to start the motors. Check your throttle direction, mine had to be reversed. Testing tomorrow unless it's raining yet again.

How do you get the tubes out of the top of the Tarot retract. They are riveted in. Drill it and then use a screw or?

No I did not have to extend them, but it only has around 3/4 - 1" of clearance. I might make a TO/Landing pad that is 3" raised up for both skids to give it a little extra area... just for gimbal boot up, once "on" it's plenty of clearance.
