XAircraft 2 ESC's beeping and compass issues

or you had the gain knob not centered when you did the calibration? i have no idea except they fly like crap with - g knob gains.... those are right where i end up, between 1.1 and 1.2. get it in wind and fly fast into it to finish dialing it in, if you hear it oscilate lower what axis you think...

    The Ten Commandments of FPV

the first one is a tracker and a patch antenna, second one is just circular antennas Here is one with the ultra blue beams on both sides but a lot closer in..... the first one was miles away and in a wing.... 2.4 video, 433 rc control on a 1100 hex

those motors have been on our skyjib for over a year now, were on the aerial media pros maytec harrier express with simonK.... they market them as AMP 65 amp esc's.... It's flown epics in all kinds of crazy conditions, 260+ logged flights.

    The Ten Commandments of FPV

That one is even worse in video quality but it'll go miles.... the antennas for that if you went circular polarized are like 5" across, the 5.8 are like 3/4" across. The biggest problem with those types of systems is there noisy as hell.... one of the ten commandments is to not use a lower...

    The Ten Commandments of FPV

with 2.4 rc control you want 5.8 IMO.... it's easiest to dial in and it's readily available, antennas are small, etc. Sometimes we get in high rf areas and the 5.8 will keep working like ormal and my 2.4 won't have a clean channel to select, 1.2 is alot like that since it's half band from...

Workbenches? How do you set up your workspace?

yep I used to have a pretty cool lab, then it turned into any flat surface in my hotel since it's always done on the road these days. basically you want lots of bench, good power distribution through it... solder station, heat gun, servo wire crimpers, a selection of heat shrink, same with wire...

    The Ten Commandments of FPV

We fly 5.8 professionaly and it's awesome cause it's as close to hd any of these will get, it's a wider bandwidth. 1.2 is a bit like an old tv at best, harder to make stuff out like home if you get far or very high. I prefer the 8" monitors, they have a quick contrast button on front that lets...

    The Ten Commandments of FPV

using hero is alright especialy if your not flying out of los. 1.2 is good but it'll let you get further than your rc controller will let you go, 5.8 will usually cut out prior to loss of signal from a 2.4 radio and lawmate requires a bec at 12 volts or 5 volts depending what size you go with...

    Connecting IOSD to Immersion 600

the immersion vtx likes full power and doesn't do very well on a bec like whats going on with the power you got coming out of the iosd. i'd recomend using the power off the main distro board to that smaller power input plug, then just hook up the yellow and black to the iosd from that bigger...

    The Ten Commandments of FPV

Lawmate 2.4, luminier sony 800 tvl, but to use 2.4 video you need a uhf system like ezuhf, go anywhere type system. If your stuck on 2.4 rc control, the immersion 5.8 with bluebeam ultras aka magic mushrooms are the bomb, but pretty limited in range though, 1/4 to 1/2 mile....

Can you convert the DJI FC40 to 2.4Ghz control?

correct.... i fly 8j and 8fg which got replaced with the 14,,,, the 8fg and 14 have rear sliders for gimbal control, the j series has a small dial on the face... might make a difference to what you prefer,,,, the rear sliders are ratcheted but again, that's easily adjustable on these,,, little...

Can you convert the DJI FC40 to 2.4Ghz control?

yea, 8j is 8 channels and if you wanted both gain trims and gimbal control, i'd shoot for the 10j or 14, the 14 is worth the extra money. the 14 has all 3 way switches, 8j has 2 3 way switches. I really like the airplane versions cause it has ratchet throttle, that lets you find nazas 50%...

Can you convert the DJI FC40 to 2.4Ghz control?

i'd use futaba since it does sbus and makes it easier. You just buy the radio and plug it in per the naza manual..... futaba 8j is a great link, same with the higher end FASST and FASSTest series like 14.... has sbus2, telemetry, super nice

That's weird, was just looking at ebay and other sellers at the 3+ and it's still $399 for the most part. used $200 ish bids and best offers..... i don't see a huge change, bet most people will stick with the 3+..... WHO GOT ONE?!? GoPRO 4K Black

joebob, the back of the hero4 black is still the same plug as the 3 and 3+ I haven't tried it but see no reason it won't work. the hero4 black does not have an lcd, that's only the silver which is just a 3+ with a built in lcd I noticed they added this gem to the lineup, probably to squash all...
