Well, the best retracts that I have used have been the DJI S800 ones. They use 25mm tubes for the main part of the legs although 12ish mm for the mounting rods so not sure if they fit your requirements.

Ive been using 5.26 for a long time now and had no issues at all. Given the lack of reports of issues on 5.26 here on the forum I would say this is a pretty safe bet at the moment.
