The failures I have seen have been a real mixture. Using the built in RX, using a native Futaba RX, using an S-BUS adaptor and I am pretty sure that at least one was on a Spektrum but cant remember.

Please make sure that whoever you use has a 'permission for aerial work' issued from the UK's civil aviation. If they don't have this then they will be flying illegally and thus without valid insurance etc.

Dont hope too much Rory, the crash you had on 2.3 sounds exactly like the one I just avoided and we had loads of similar instances on 2.1 as well. One of the DJI guys is currently investigating the cause of my mishap so once I know what the outcome of that is I will keep you posted.
