    Props

What I do with new builds is run some cheap carbon fiber props from RcTimer for the first little while in order to prove the machine. No sense crashing with expensive props! Then once she's proven I'll switch to Foxtech Supremes or Supreme Lites ... But they may have discontinued the Lites...

    Drones for Delivering Packages....

I'm in the "free publicity" camp myself. It certainly has people talking about Amazon! I pitty the fools at the competition trying to copy them lol!! ... Oops sorry we were kidding!

    Drones for Delivering Packages....

Are they nuts!? Let's discuss To me there are a few glaringly obvious issues. How will you receive your package? Will the drone dump it on your lawn and leave? (Local kids steal package.) Drone waits for you to recover package before leaving. (Toddler plays with drone getting chopped up.)...

NASA Takes First Steps Toward Drone Traffic Control

Some excerpts of interest: (I particularly find the last two items in the bulleted list interesting) NASA recently successfully demonstrated rural operations of its unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) traffic management (UTM) concept, integrating operator platforms, vehicle performance and ground...

Experiments with a lens camera - Tarot 680 Pro

There were some serious issues with WiFi on Pixhawk machines last year. I can't recall exact details but recall it was interfering with the compass or GPS... They were losing control of the craft in auto modes and traced it back to the WiFi on a gopro... Pretty sure it wasn't specific to the...

    onemandrone.com, your personal hexacopter!

Interesting. Does he have a working prototype, or is just a rendering and a kick starter page? I'd be wary of endorsing the latter. Don't be afraid to ask hard questions Bart. You're a gatekeeper now ;)

Revisit a age old debate, Esc's mounted on the arms.

Yes, mainly reducing EM (Electromagnetic) Radiation from the wiring. (Which may affect compass etc). You can either twist them or bundle them closely together. One wire (-) will tend to cancel out the other wire's (+) tendency to become an electromagnet. Same thing when building harnesses to...

Recent UK Prosecution of Drone Pilot.

I'm shocked that there haven't been any terrorist related incidents thus far. We all know its inevitable and the day it happens ......

Hear that sound? It's the sound of nails being driven into a coffin. PS: you can edit the title by using the edit post function ;)

    Blade Chroma with CGO3 4k

I suspect the mislabeled battery may be due to shipping regulations.. There's a lot of that coming out of China these days ;)

Revisit a age old debate, Esc's mounted on the arms.

Back OT: I have a heavy hexa that I've run outboard ESC's on for three years without any problems. I use ESC's one size bigger than required, and add a couple of inline caps... Although I'm not convinced it is necessary. The ESC's always come down cool at ambient temps. PS: I'm with...

Finally our flying car! Now we can all commute to work by air! What could possibly go wrong... PS: I hope DJI doesn't see this rendering

Rogue drone crashes into Ferris wheel....oh brother

And I feel that long range fpv is just plain dangerous. Definitely should not be in the hands of the consumer. This aspect should have heavy regulations and licensing IMO

Rogue drone crashes into Ferris wheel....oh brother

Agree 100% When I became aware of multirotors about 3.5 years ago I ran straight out and stockpiled enough parts to last me a decade. My business partner asked why!? I replied "these things are going to be banned immediately." Frankly I'm surprised they haven't been.

Would this be the Kickstarter.com version of the "Flip of Death"?

I'd remove the "for multirotors" from that Old Man ;)

    Tiger-Motors U8 + 28x9,2 props

What kind of test flight was THAT. No punch-outs, no flips.... Hahah kidding of course! That is indeed an impressive machine :) Well done. Must be a bugger to fly light load like that, it looks like a serious floater!
