Help with Tarot 680 build component list

It's good practice to find a build thread on the copter you want to build and more or less copy the components lists. At least for the first few builds. There should be a couple of successful builds on the forum here ;)

    need TX-RX Help

Yup, agreed. Go Taranis you'll never regret it. It has range check, and RSSI as well for pc of mind. ((RSSI = Receivers Signal Strength Indicator) With X8R receivers your radio will give real time feedback on how strong your signal is at the copter.

Setup & Configuring Futaba Radio with Hex

Agree on the Futaba documentation comments. I hesitated to switch to Taranis for over a year due to hearing that there's a steep learning curve... After Futaba I found Taranis simple friendly and very intuitive lol!

    RcTimer Website Down?

I'm not able to access the RcTimer website here in Canada so I did a check and it looks like it is inaccessible in all of North America,,, This has happened before, so I'm pretty sure they are not out of business. Perhaps someone can give Frank a heads up!

    Inventory Conciliation with Drone

Keep in mind that GPS won't work indoors either ;)

    Return of the Quad

Agreed, good advice. And bearings are dirt cheap. As a rule of thumb the recommended replacement cycle is every 100 hours anyway.

    Inventory Conciliation with Drone

Stable flight in tight indoor spaces can be an issue too. Airflow from the rotors bouncing off the floor and up the racks will cause some turbulence for sure. I've tried flying through man tunnels for instance. It can be quite challenging. Not trying to be negative, just some thoughts worth...

Help Quadcopter motor E310 vs Sunnysky V2216

We don't have a lot of DJI guys around here, but I do have a beater f550 for testing conditions etc. With APM and landing gear. The DJI motors are pretty weak.. Barely able to carry battery and landing gear, a small dome etc. Id suggest you get your weights calculated carefully and log onto...

So where are we at with collision detection on affordable consumer lever?

I don't think we're there yet, but we're seeing more cars coming out with this technology. So I'd bet in a few years we'll see the Chinese reverse engineering it for us :)

    Inventory Conciliation with Drone

Or possibly do away with the drone altogether and run an overhead cable or track with the camera bot hanging below on a retractable system for up and down movement.

    Return of the Quad

Thanks for the follow up! I have one that was in a tree for over 2 years... Rain, snow, and blasting Sunshine. I haven't had the heart to throw it out, but now I'm inspired to see if it'll work! Did you lube the bearings? Thatll be first on my list.

    Black Magic Micro Camera

These are fairly generic devices coming out of china and re-branded like crazy. Here's some on eBay but I don't know if this particular one is any good.. We should poke around on the forums and see which ones folks are having the best luck with...

    Black Magic Micro Camera

Of course we could just strap on one of these HDMI Mini to Analog converters too. SO, I'm going out on a limb and saying that I'm pretty sure this camera will be coming home to Rick's house in the near future :)

    Black Magic Micro Camera

This is he one thing I'm looking for as well. I think(?) i saw somewhere that it will record uncompressed 4k (4:2:2) through the HDMI out so I think(?) that would suggest the ability to externally monitor. The photos show an HDMI out: And yes super lightweight 404gr with no lens :) EDIT: I...

    Black Magic Micro Camera

I'm taking a really hard look at the a6300 when it comes out. It should blow the doors off the gh4 for resolution. From memory it uses about twice the sensor surface area that the gh4 does. (In 4k mode) Tony Northrup has a really good review / comparison on his YouTube channel. Highly...

Looking at using a Ronin-M on my heavylift, any interference issues ?

I even use two tx's in the same case. With my Taranis I use the built in module to control the craft and the external module for the gimbal.. Both 2.4 and the antennas an inch or two apart. I did very extensive range and reception testing before flying, and have flown the rig for all of last...

    Camera choice

I love the look of the Sony a7's compared to the GH4 which has that nasty over sharpened look. The price on the a7 makes crashing a scary proposition though. I like the look and price / weight of the new Sony a6300 .... Crop sensor but overall nice specs .. New sensor using the same tech as...

    Battery vs payload

Hi Rajat, if you can order from china suppliers it can be a lot cheaper and often with free shipping if you can wait longer. ;)

    Battery vs payload

It really depends on his all up weight too Hoki. If the whole copter weighs 1000gr then that 250gr reduction would be 25%. Although I do agree with your thinking in principal. I think the only answer is to try it and find out.
