    Sony A6300 Camera Discussion

This looks interesting. My only concern with many of the off the shelf hdmi cables is that they are often very stiff which we don't want for gimbal use. But they have a nice selection and well worth book-marking the page for later. :)

    Sony A6300 Camera Discussion

I Found this image of the naked pcb in the AV converter that Helge recommended. It shows there is indeed a plug on the pcb for hdmi input but sadly it is not a female hdmi plug... The search continues.

    Sony A6300 Camera Discussion

Thank you Oschefer, I got the same reply when contacting Helge directly through his site. The problem I have found with all the Universal HDMI - AV converters available is the the Cabling or circuit board interfere with the hdmi door on the a6300. Sony decided to move it and flip the...

    Sony A6300 Camera Discussion

I predict the A6300 will become the most popular aerial camera, once folks see the advantages. The a6000 was the most popular camera ever made, so Sony has a market there. Hexa, I am aware of the HDMI down-links but for many of us the multi-thousand dollar investment is not warranted. I could...

    Sony A6300 Camera Discussion

Here's a couple of casual photos I took with it the other day while walking the dog. I didn't expect o be using this as a stills camera but was pleasantly surprised. Lens was Sony 18-200mm No post-processing at all, straight off the camera.

InfinityMR Universal high performance gimbal for GH4/A7S size cameras

Hi oschefer, I have started a new thread for us to discuss the matter in depth here: http://multirotorforums.com/threads/sony-a6300-camera-discussion.31937/ So that we don't mess up Kuba's thread. (Sorry Kuba!)

    Sony A6300 Camera Discussion

As you can see the footage is pretty danged good. This is the text from the video poster on Vimeo: One of us should approach them and ask them what they are using.. I'm just running to work so I may tackle that tomorrow

    Sony A6300 Camera Discussion

I would caution against using WiFi around multirotors in general as there has been evidence of it interfering with GPS reception. There ARE some existing solutions for the A6000 cameras that convert the HDMI out to AV but having contacted a couple of sellers they are saying they don't have one...

    Sony A6300 Camera Discussion

I'm loving my a6300. I've only had it for a week but used it on one tripod shoot as a B cam and slayed the 5D's used for A cams lol. Had it out on a photo walk yesterday and loved shooting stills with itvas well. I haven't used it for aerial yet as I don't have an AV out for it yet. If anyone...

    Sony A6300 Camera Discussion

I'm starting this thread as a repository for information on the Sony A6300 Camera for aerial use. Let's keep discussion to the camera and accessories to purchase to make it useful as an aerial option. Please let's try to keep it on topic and not stray into "which camera is better" etc. There...

So many mixed reports on this too. I shot all afternoon long on my a6300 this weekend. It was on for about 4-5 hours on the tripod only shutting it off to change battery. No heat issues at all. I WAS running a very large aluminum lens (Sony 18-200) and the thought crossed my mind that the lens...

    Drone Shot Down

Shooting into the air can kill someone down-range. It blows my mind this person is not in jail. In Canada they would be for sure.

Here's a few clips from a test run last year. Tarot 810 / Famous Hobby BG001 Gimbal / Phobotic CP / Canon 5Dii Some minor damper shudders due to copter shudder under heavy acceleration and braking. Nothing to do with the CP which handled them easily. Strong gusting crosswinds at 17 knots and...

DJI files patent suit against Yuneec

It's going to get interesting that's for sure. I wonder if DJI is more out to set legal precedent and test their patents than to actually win (which would be a bonus). Also the timing is right at the beginning of sales season... I'm sure they figure if they don't win they can at least stall...

DJI files patent suit against Yuneec

Perhaps Yuneec is not so unique after all? Man this stuff writes itself lol. Annnd the irony of a CHINESE company suing another Chinese company for Copyright Infringement is truly hysterical! My god. On a serious note, reading through some of the document it looks like DJI is claiming...
