Need some help selecting a propeller and need to know where to get them...

Perfect! I was actually looking at the exact same ones only they are 12x3 so that'll work. Thanks!

Looking for a good but cheapER Y6 frame... Any advice? What's the best Y6?

Perfect, I basically have a similar motor only they're 750Kv and mine are 18A max and yours are 35A powerhouse, mine will do 265W and yours look to be 370W each so that's pretty powerful. I doubt yours will get hot right? Right now I'm spinning 10"x5 on my motors and they come down ice cold. I'm...

Looking for a good but cheapER Y6 frame... Any advice? What's the best Y6?

What motor are you spinning them with and what size? Do you have to balance them or are they balanced? It looks to me that the prop industry is wide open for multirotors, if someone could manufacture them they'd make a mint. The key would be to make matching sets instead of just right hand or...

Need some help selecting a propeller and need to know where to get them...

The link you sent was the list of all carbon fiber props for that business, can you send me the ones you are using exactly? People have told me the props on the site are hit-and-miss so I'm wondering exactly what you are using. Thanks!

Looking for a good but cheapER Y6 frame... Any advice? What's the best Y6?

Honestly I never worry about balance or the hole diameter or anything like that. The first thing I do is ream the hole to 8mm and then balance the prop so to me it doesn't matter so much as the total overall quality and to me, those look top notch as far as quality is concerned.

    FPV relay idea?

Yes! Now you're thinking, excellent and well put. Height of eye is always an excellent way to increase range. This is why they put antennas on the tops of towers and buildings and not flat on the ground :) Another option would be to put the antenna on the balloon and receiver on the ground but...

    FPV relay idea?

I think he's talking conceptually can it be done. The answer is yes it can be but to Iris point you can select another channel OR you can go to a setup that's free of ground floor noise. 900mhz has a lot of ground floor noise and is great outside of city limits however anywhere close to a cell...

DJI 550 / Naza gain settings

It depends on several factors like the speed of your motors, the size of your props, the total flying weight of your craft and the way you like to fly. I have mine set to 165/165/170/170 and attitude 160/160. I use 750Kv NTM 265W motors so they are slower to respond but torquey and I fly with a...

Need some help selecting a propeller and need to know where to get them...

I'm building a Y6 and I'll be able to spin 12" blades so that's what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something like 12x4 for the top motors and 12x6 for the bottom motors. What are people using and where are you getting them from? I'd like to find them as cheap as possible so the $100 a piece...

    FPV relay idea?

It can be done but there's a better way. Do what the Germans did during WWII and use a blimp or hot air balloon. If you use a balloon you could use hard wire instead of beaming the signal down. The wire itself would be the tether to the balloon and this setup would give you HUGE range...

Looking for a good but cheapER Y6 frame... Any advice? What's the best Y6?

Wow, good to know thanks! What's the advantage of wood? I know Xoar also makes wood props and a few of the Guru's use wood, I'm not sure why though but I'd love to understand it. Where's Kloner when you need him? He's like Super Grover of the Multicopter world :) How about these then...

Looking for a good but cheapER Y6 frame... Any advice? What's the best Y6?

I understand that! Being broke that is... What I'm planning on doing is reeming out the hole to 8mm so I can use my Graupner 8mm to 4mm conversion rings and then I'll balance it to perfection from there by sanding them etc. I've had bad experiences with the SF props and they seem to put all the...

Looking for a good but cheapER Y6 frame... Any advice? What's the best Y6?

Good to hear you can spin 12" props, did you get the 1/3 meter arms? I'm not sure how long your arms are to be able to understand the spacing between the motors. It looks like you could spin 15" props lol...huge space there. What's up with the motor on the right bottom, it looks like it's off...

Looking for a good but cheapER Y6 frame... Any advice? What's the best Y6?

SleepC, what size props are you spinning and what pitch are they? How long are your arms, 1/3 meter? I was thinking of getting 12x4.5 for the top and 12x6 for the bottom...they're carbon fiber so super light and strong. They have a demo of one blade holding up the weight of a can of paint and it...

Power Distrubtion board, the age old question.... What's everyone using?

Wow, that's a good size CAP for that little board. I'm sure your ESC's appreciate that :) Your burst current must be up there. I've never thought of creating a CAP bank but maybe I'll try that, not that I need it but it sure would be fun. Just don't ground positive and negative together and you...

Looking for a good but cheapER Y6 frame... Any advice? What's the best Y6?

No offense man, it is what it is. If he wants super motors then he'll pay the big money and get some Avroto motors. I'd rather get some cheap motors, take them apart, rewind them, balance the shaft and the can and put them all back together before I'd pay $50 per motor but that's just me. His...

Then why use ear plugs and gel dampeners? Just balance your motors and props and throw out the heavy stuff :D

Looking for a good but cheapER Y6 frame... Any advice? What's the best Y6?

They're budget motors, they aren't designed to win awards and at less then $15 each they're very affordable. Jello or no jello doesn't matter to me, there are plenty of examples of jello free Go Pros with ear plugs under them and unbalanced blades people just put on their motors straight from...

Looking for a good but cheapER Y6 frame... Any advice? What's the best Y6?

Maybe that's your problem but it isn't mine. I haven't tried even one time to reduce the jello effect in my videos nor do I fly to film but yet instead film when I'm flying. I have no intention of removing the jello which really has nothing to do with what motors you are using and everything to...
