    "CFG-ERR" with Turnigy 9XR and Naza-M V2 (New Build)

Hey Corey, It sounds like you got your flight control mode (manual/atti/gps) set up on a 3 position switch….right? I don’t have a Turnigy so not sure exactly where your failsafe setting is within the TX menus (on the Taranis, which I guess is similar, it’s under the model setup...

    "CFG-ERR" with Turnigy 9XR and Naza-M V2 (New Build)

Hey Corey, I'm not very qualified to offer advice but fwiw... Have you got the leads reversed between the naza and the rx? That seems to be a bit of an issue on other forums for that error. Bind process went ok? Tried rebinding? Calibrated sticks on the tx itself?

    Another UK-er (run for cover!)

Had a busy few days so not managed any flying time since the last update :( I did however manage to get a new landing gear installed (cheap and nasty) and figure out a way to use it's components to attach the gimbal (even cheaper and nastier!). Mental note to self: next time do a bit more...

    Another UK-er (run for cover!)

Hey Corey, I wish I'd put wire mesh or heat shrink over the esc cables before soldering them to the board - mainly for aesthetics but the protection a mesh would provide against chaffing would probably be a good move longer term. I meant to put mesh on but just forgot in my eagerness to actually...

    Good flight simulator for 450/550

I used the Phoenix sim alongside flying a Blade MQX (the MQX is one of the two stock multirotor models in the sim too). I actually quite liked Phoenix but as I've said in another post, personally, I don't think there's any substitute for 'real' flying and the MQX was a superb tool for that...

    New from Colorado!

Yeah, I'd love to do a bit of shooting up there! Some good powder day footage in Closets and Shadows or following the gondi down Heavenly Daze would be awesome! There's a chap up there who's been into his multirotors for a while and everytime I check back, he seems to be doing more and more...

    New from Colorado!

Welcome! Where in CO? I spent 5 years in Steamboat not so long ago. Phenomenal place and beautiful part of the world :)

    Good beginner LiPo charger.

I just got a Turnigy A-6-10 200W Balance charger & discharger. It's my first 'proper' charger so I have nothing to compare to but it's really easy to use, has a nice 'safety check' kind of feature which confirms the type of battery (3S/4S etc) before allowing you to start the charge cycle...

Thanks Corey, yeah I'm pretty stoked it went so well up to now! Can't wait to get the gimbal and camera hooked up now! Look forward to seeing your progress!

    New Multi Head from Washington!!!

Welcome - unlike me, I see you sensibly decided to start asking questions in the right place!

    Idaho boy, here.

Welcome! I'm not even close to being qualified to give advice but if you've never flown anything at all before, I would definitely learn the ropes with a micro multirotor. I started with the Blade MQX and it's an unbelievable amount of fun and cheap and easy to repair when you bang it up (which...

    Another UK-er (run for cover!)

Well, I managed to get the basic version (No gimbal/camera, vtx, datalink, iOSD yet) completed earlier this week :) had it in the air for about an hour so far to test how everything works. Amazingly, there seem to be no issues at this stage. Failsafe, control mode and IOC mapping all work as...

    Another UK-er (run for cover!)

Ok, well I guess the lack of replies could be to do with me posting in an inappropriate place but in case anyone's interested - I managed to dedicate some more time in the last few days to R&D ;-) so I went ahead today and started the build officially \o/ The basis on which I'm proceeding in...

    Hello from Baton Rouge

Wow! Great looking rig, no messing about there straight off the bat!

Group Build 2014, DJI NAZA/F450 Quadcopter!

+1 also! I have zero experience in anything multirotor (for now) except for the MQX but they are great fun just to zoom around with! I've managed some spectacular stunts...cough...crashes :p with my MQX's but despite that, they are remarkably resilient little fellas! Spectacular thread and idea...

Also forgot to ask where in the Front Range are you Mike? I lived in Steamboat Springs for about 5 years until moving back to the UK in 2010 - man I miss that place :( Especially now with all that fluffy pow!

Ok turns out I wasn't even sure whether to post this in the main DJI forum or the self build forum....so instead, I'll just post here! I apologise in advance for the length of this post as well but when I get underway, I promise to post some pics/vids to give something back! What I have...

    Another UK-er (run for cover!)

Thanks for the welcome! Unfortunately, I haven’t got very far with the build! The problem with having hobbies is that the wife’s not very keen on me disappearing to my workshop for entire weekends instead of involving myself in family life! So anyway, today is the first morning I’ve had...

    Another UK-er (run for cover!)

Hi All, After a year or so of lurking here, it’s finally time to say hello! o/ I’ve been messing around for a few years with micro helis and then the Blade MQX and Phoenix Sim. I figured that was a good way to learn the basics – I really enjoyed those MQX’s but I have to confess to being...
