Gonna cry for a week !

Calibrate the ACC with the props level. Calibrate the gyro with it sitting still and put the gyros on the screen also. They are usually the first thing to go bad in a crash. The gyro line and ACC line should follow each other pretty closely.

Gonna cry for a week !

The most important thing to do after a crash is to check the accelerometer and gyro sensors. Deselect the other sensors from the scope to get rid of distractions and watch for proper gyro and ACC movement as you rock the craft. Also compare the gyro compass to the magnetic compass.

    Mikrokopter Phase B error

You don't need to tin the cap legs. I paste flux them before I solder and then clean off any gooey mess later. Wires are different though. They should be pre-tinned, especially the high strand count wires that most use. Can you please take a mega pixel photo of the location where that cap fell...

Planning V Tail Quad Build Opinions Please.....

Arrgh, I didn't see this until today. I could have sent you that stuff too. :( I had trouble with MIG wire also. The copper plate would strip clean off the steel core and leave the wire free to rotate in the solder hole. Electronics solder doesn't stick to steel very well but I believe silver...

    Mikrokopter Phase B error

Ah I can see it now. Maybe if you take a smaller picture I can use my microscope. :p How did you get all of the solder out of the through holes for the caps?

Tau Labs OP CC Vibration Sensing like the SK720 can?

The other day I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why my board would not calibrate. I finally looked at the scope readings and they were quite wacky. The board was just sitting on a long table in an anti static bag. It turns out that the little 3" fan that was running on the table was...

Tau Labs OP CC Vibration Sensing like the SK720 can?

Check out that link Gary. It's pretty clever. I'm wondering if it could be expanded to also tune feedforward by using vibration to measure prop speed.

Tau Labs OP CC Vibration Sensing like the SK720 can?

It may be possible. I asked this before and one of the guys who did a slick little vibration app for the MK may do something for OP if and when he has time. http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/en/VibrationTest

    Mikrokopter Phase B error

I think I see an SMD parts missing but the pic is too small.

    Mikrokopter Phase B error

Do you have a picture. I'd send it back though. Parts should fall off. EDIT:PARTS SHOULD NOT FALL OFF. ;)

    Mikrokopter Phase B error

This was the thread I was referring to: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1336561&page=137 It's a huge thread so things get overlooked quickly. I'll bet that the answer is going to be to change the BL-Ctrl which you are going to do anyway. I would pull it, put it in a bag labeled...

    Mikrokopter Phase B error

Different threads for the same problem make it very hard to keep track of things. Which BL-Ctrl do you have? V1.2 and V2 are very different. The MK Bl-Ctrls are a bit of a mystery to me. I only know of two people that may have a clue about the technical aspect and they only post on RCG as far...

    Mikrokopter Galloping Okto

.82 adds a few insignificant features (IMHO) and likely some bug fixes. .84 adds some waypoint features that some people may like and it probably adds some bugs too. http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/KategorieFirmware Bart: If I'm not mistaken RTRyder has used an I2C convertor board on his...

Planning V Tail Quad Build Opinions Please.....

Somewhere on this board I posted my crude ideas for a FPV frame. If you take your frame and flip it upside down it would be darn close to what I had in mind even down to Alex's cloverleaf. :) I haven't gotten around to mocking one up yet though. I was also going to try a 180 degree tilt mount...

    Mikrokopter Everything Come Home, MK

http://www.multirotorforums.com/showthread.php?588-Any-insight I removed my earlier post in this thread. I was temporarily confused about which crash we were talking about. I think Baker55 had a combination of problems. The compass was acting funny, he may of had CF mode activated unknowingly...

    Mikrokopter Tilt or Nick?

The video(s) below helped me learn German when I was building my MK. They were similar to a 'comfort food' but in video form. :p ROT_ON?? //knows nothing

    Mikrokopter Stuttering Motor

I'm thinking the hot one is internally shorted but I'm not an EE. It's obvious that you have a motor phase that isn't switching. Did you check everything very closely for stray motor wires, solder blobs and debris?

This isn't mine. It's very clever though.

Planning V Tail Quad Build Opinions Please.....

Nice. That is very close to how I was thinking of mounting the battery and camera. I was going to mount the flight board on the same plate as the battery and camera though. Let us know how it works out for you. BTW, I have a new CC available in the US if you are in a hurry.

I think a FET is shorted. Is this a new one?
