    Mikrokopter BL-Ctrl updating then dead

The STK500 should do it. I don't know anything about them though. I had to make an adapter cable to go from my 6 pin to the BL-Ctrls 10 pin. You will find that on other MK boards (FC), you will also need to make an adapter because they use a non-standard pinout. IIRC, the BL-Ctrl and MK3Mag...

    Mikrokopter BL-Ctrl updating then dead

Can you see any messages in the terminal when the BL-Ctrl boots up? I use an AVR MKII and AVR Studio but there are others. A sercon should work with a real serial port. Do NOT use the 'real' serial port on a laptop. They can contain hidden USB to serial convertors. (Don't ask how I know...

    Mikrokopter BL-Ctrl updating then dead

MKUSB cannot do it. The Sercon and USB adapter would be a good way to really screw up the chip. Use an AVR programmer that is made for USB. Have you tried the usual rescue method of powering the board when MKTool is waiting to send the firmware?

    Mikrokopter BL-Ctrl updating then dead

Take a photo of how you have it wired to MKUSB. It's not dead though. Just needs CPR.

    Mikrokopter Uncontrolled Yaw - SOLVED

You still haven't said if you checked that the motors are aimed straight up. This post was probably made before the compass was available but it's the same basic idea: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=13206674&postcount=8126

Tau Labs FUTABA, CC Throttle calibration and range problem

FYI: In the 3 or 4 flight boards I have used, the Futaba throttle always has to be reversed.

    YAY, First Multirotor Build!!!

Skew-Planar/Pinwheel and cloverleaf. You won't go wrong. Maybe some better ones have been developed in the last couple months though. I haven't been keeping track. Either way, stay away from anything that isn't circular polarized.

    Mikrokopter Uncontrolled Yaw - SOLVED

I'm pretty sure your compass is easily recoverable if you use a real cable. It really doesn't sound like it is completely dead yet. Even then, that board is one of the last things left in the MK line that can be fully programmed from a blank chip. Also, Ken made a good point about the virus...

    Mikrokopter Uncontrolled Yaw - SOLVED

Ken, did you ever get that dead compass board that we were talking about working? It's these firmware upload problems that people are having that make me leery about the new all-in-one navi board. Does that board use separate compass firmware?

Tau Labs FUTABA, CC Throttle calibration and range problem

Yea, that's what the Wiki says - 1200. My point is that maybe they can go to 1300, maybe they can't. If the wiki is correct and they can't then your value of 1300 should be changed to something that is realistic for the XA ESCs. In Dankers video, he sets his at 2000 IIRC. In my testing, I...

Tau Labs FUTABA, CC Throttle calibration and range problem

As I mentioned in the OP thread, I would rethink the 1300 value or at least do real life testing to see if your particular ESCs respond at that amount. The numbers must be realistic to what the ESCs can use because the CC board is going to expect that they are valid and will use them. Also...

    Mikrokopter Uncontrolled Yaw - SOLVED

Ahh, wireless for a firmware upload. That helps explain it. Never a good idea. If you can still see the mag bootloader start the upload then you are in business and hopefully it will work when you use a cable. I've been thinking.... if you still have problems, the way the compass is piggy...

    Mikrokopter Uncontrolled Yaw - SOLVED

So let me get this straight: You can not see any activity on the Mk3mag in MkTool? And you have already tried to reload the firmware several times? If so, then the firmware is trashed and it's now too dumb to know how to take an upload. The bootloader should still be working though. The...

    Mikrokopter Uncontrolled Yaw - SOLVED

There's so many unanswered questions it's hard to tell where to start. Are the motors perfectly vertical? You have an unconventional Y6 mix right? Did you use the right one? Is the yaw compass (not mag compass...yaw compass) moving when the copter is still? Do you still have an I2C error...

Tau Labs FUTABA, CC Throttle calibration and range problem

Why don't you post a screenshot of the input and output tabs. It looks to me like whatever you are doing is trading away throttle resolution because the motor pulses aren't set right. BTW, Don't pay attention to what the throttle stick shows on the controller gadget. It's misleading. Maybe...

Tau Labs A few questons about getting started

With the 0608 version of GCS that you have you leave the throttle at lowest position when you un-check the box. It will then add a little to the bottom value and move the slider. See Pic above.
