Good Question.
We have a young guy here in Tampa who is doing builds, parts, 3D printing and it looks like he's doing very well.
Blackbird FPV is what he calls it. It's not a standard hobby shop in a money guzzling strip mall but he seems busy enough.
Sorry to hear you are unhappy. I am thrilled with mine.
(Maybe I thrill easily) I thought the parts went together well and
it is light when completed.
It easily handles my big 4830 motors and flys like a dream with a V-1 Naza.
I hope it all works out well for you.
So Noah410, what else should be "Mandatory"?
Navigation lights? Transponders? $5 million dollar insurance policy?
Be careful what you wish for when you start making things "Mandatory".
I installed the Quanum Retractable gear that Hobby King sells for $70.
I shortened the mounting angles about 1" and they work great.

However, talking about truth in advertising,, their ad clearly depicts a camera mount...
I agree but I'll try some 9" on the top to see what difference it might make.
Maybe some 11' on the bottom after that to see if it affects flight times.
Thanks
I use the APC Props (the All Purpose Cutter).
They do occasionally attack but usually only once.
I'm thinking it is a strange threat to them. I don't think they see the props until it's too late.
I generally give them some room or drop down until they give up.
I hate removing "ex-bird" from...
I used a Matt Hall design ( http://www.simplecopter.com/simple-tricopter-2-0/ ).
It has a spread of about 70mm.
I installed a Naza V1, 2836/9 950 Hobbyking motors with cheap plastic 1038 Hobbyking props, top and bottom. It has
RC Manchild ESC's (...
IMHO and my only experience with a prop break at the hub, was due to repeated over tightening.
There is a mold like on many of the hubs and with repeated crushing by a prop nut I believe this line becomes a weak link.
My only broken prop was right on this line.
Counter opinions welcomed.
This is one of the reasons I dislike blogs.
Some idiot comes up with a hair brained idea then "Blogs" it and all of a sudden it becomes gospel because it was on the internet.
Not saying that is what this is but we have seen it so many times over.
Opinions are like a$$holes and everybody has...
Some of the hardest parts to find for me have been landing gear or frame fittings.
Like the 90 degree connectors for 10mm rod to say a 16-25mm frame piece.
If anyone knows a source I'd like to have it.
