Hey Bowley, I'm going to be on your turf over Easter taking photos in Findhorn. Problem is getting permission from the MOD as I'll be flying in military airspace! Fingers crossed....

Ah Rob now that does look fun. Have been in your neck of the woods the past few nights and half expected to see something up in the air. How are you finding the NEx5n? I'm guessing the shots of the harrier with the flamewheel & gopro?

When I get a chance I will get back there. They were all shot blind as the downlink battery was flat. If i can belive the weatherman the we are going from unseasonable heat to a possiblity of snow over the next few days so that might chance the feel of the pictures. Love the work your doing with yours though!

You should be alright, its just the club cessnas flying out of Kinloss just now, with 800' minimum in circuit
Is your craft under 7kg? probably best to speak with Air Traffic anyway, there pretty amiable.
Do you have the numbers for the tower and flying club?
I should be around over easter if you want to hook up for a fly.

Steve,

I have to ask permission as there are apparently helicopters still using the airfield...and it's still part of MOD airspace. Yes, it's under 7kg...I have set the ball rolling, spoken to them and should hear back from them on Monday.

I have promised the people at the Findhorn Foundation a free photoshoot, all good for the portfolio. I lived there for almost 2 years, lovely place. If you want to get together it would be great. I'll PM you closer to the time.

I expect there is loads I can photograph from the air, I fancy doing Sueno's Stone and perhaps a couple of others, I just need to plan my itinerary.

Gunter.

Never had the bottle but I'd love to video the seal colony on the sand bar just out from findhorn bay.
You would need goggles and a good size battery I think.
For a while I've been considering a fixed wing with Gopro FPV for offshore stuff. Just gagging to get some footage of my mates surfing the outer reef at Lossie, buts its a little far, about a 20 minute paddle.

Dave, I'm going for my Dads 70th anyway, I just wanted to do some pics for the portfolio so it's a freebie!

Did you install panels for them? I'll have to have a word with the financial person for you, maybe jump on someones nuts :)
