its just wrong on so many levels!
@ dave Are you running clover leaf antennas? we have a 3 leaf on the Tx (100Mw) but if we put the 4 leaf any of the receiver aerials it won't pick up a thing. running a patch & omni works fine though. We did hear that the aerials may be tuned to a certain channel put trying all of the available ones on the yellow jacket has proved unsuccessful. Any ideas?
Lec (trying to work everything out while dad is in OZ!)

Lec, some receivers need a slight modification to run closed loop antenna...I think its a tiny diode? Check on RCG for details.

Nothing very spectacular about this shot of Brighton Pier other than the fact that I took it 27 years ago. long before the digital camera that made this kind of shot easy. It was taken with a Pentax 6x7 film camera on one of my pioneering electronic camera mounts. 400 ASA film and a one second exposure. 2 good ones out of ten tries. They were the days.

In my humble opinion Aerial Photography at the professional level is all about seeing more than just the record shot of what is there. Looking for interesting patterns or something that is not immediately obvious as to what it is. Also good light is the way to make your images stand out from the rest. I sell to many publishers and also occasionally buy from them, so having the key ingredients are always what makes an image sell. Some thought as to where text may be placed is another often overlooked key ingredient

Agreed, Denny - but I'd actually put it the other way around: light first, then subject/composition. You can find an interesting subject but if the light ain't right... come back another time ;)

And the importance of vertical (portrait) compositions - after all, how many magazines/books/brochures are horizontal (landscape) format?

True - Most of the time when I shoot stills and Panos the camera is vertical. BTW how is the new CC board coming along.

The OpenPilot Revolution is coming along nicely - it will be flying at the developers' meeting here in Portugal next month.

The weather was always the main battle in the UK. But plenty of interesting stuff to be found. When I was working there I did not have many UAV's that were reliable but I always wanted to have better low level capability.

Denny. Yes were are lucky/cursed to live in such a fast moving world when it comes to technology. I do remember when you used to be excited about getting your photos back from the chemist if you really wanted to splash out you would go for the 1 hour service. Well to contradict my point here are some I did today without a care in the world.
Ross: Some nice ones in there fingers crossed this weather lasts untill the weekend!
Lec.
Thanks to Alex and Anthony at the Marina for letting me fly there.

Thanks Ross. The fact that that tower is pumping our 2.4 Ghz really should make me think twice about flying around it. Either that or nobody in my area got a phone signal at about 7.15 this morning!
