Aerial DP
when somebody wants aerial fishing footage at sea for an nbc or affiliated company, does a 5n take that kinda footage? I picture it being used for intros of boats leaving a harbor or flybys of rods bent along a boat. it's used for little cuts right? I watch alot of this stuff on TV, we've sponsored 4 hunting shows from concepts to death........ When i've been on set with them were using them canon over the shoulder looking video camera, x1 or whatever the newer replacements for that is. it definatley wasn't the most expensive gear out there......... they air on a fox affiliated network sportsmans channel. 1 still is, was just on

Water proof quad

Sorry if this is off topic, but the latests replies gave me the line

Hi Guys, Here is Caju from Brazil, we just joined the whole Hoverfly experience, We Have a Company for Services, builds, sales and Images with Multirotors , and we are just taking out of the oven A waterprof quad based on the DexQuad, that we tried really hard to buy, but after 4 months of nothing we ended building our own. AS we had to do lots of over the water images. We have one very similar with Dex but with lots improvements as larger volume, flat bottom, locks for the arms, plates for making a 2 store so the battery doesn´t brake the HF board, clear lexan top. booms with same dimensions as cheap 600 copters. Carry a go pro no gimbal.
And another one not so good looking but with bigger space inside that is development.
We will be posting on a new thread this machines in a couple of days.
We also are working on a big 6 waterproof capable of carring nex5 all waterproof as well
But If you trust your machine and do small improvemets to minimize the damage if ocurs and we do know it hapens. I don´t see a problem flying over the water, small buies on the motor mounts do a great help to recover a dunking multi.
If we were a bit closer than the 12hours flight we would take the job
Cheers

It's over a 1000 miles from me - too bad.

On a side note, we flew our Hoverfly/Cinestar combo over water all day yesterday chasing pro wakeboarders. I'm confident in my rig, so I've got no problem flying it wherever.
