Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

My focus is to make a 3 axis gimbal stabilization unit for any camera mount using Fast R/C servos, offering good stabilization and advanced features.

The steppers we use start at $1500 each...

Used gyros start at $5000, $15000 new...each

George is right on his target for RC Model control loops. It's gonna cost big time to step into an industrial control loop. The performance that people are obtaining with what is available now, is pretty darn good compared to a Wescam or Gyron or Spacecam, etc. Especially considering the price difference and cost of operation.

Hi George,
I talked to Jochen and he told me that he had the same problem with one of his Picloc's.
I have the acc cooled with ice spray and was able to find the fault on my Picloc Pro.
Then I tested my second Picloc (only the standart version), and the problem did not exist... It works perfect... :nevreness:
So I think it's a hardware problem on my Picloc 3X Pro!
What should I do now?

1st issue... and no, I didn't remove the last version first. Is there any part of the description that you want to see?

WOW... that was quick !!!! I was still writing a small how-to on my website !!.

Picloc needs a few seconds of button pressing with 'COntinuous Updates' switched off, to be able to upgrade seamlessly to the new firmware.

Hope you enjoy this new firmware.

Hi George. I am getting a similar error to DKTek. I performed the procedure as you wrote. All goes well. But after re-enabling continuous updates the error message always appears after about ten seconds.

Did I miss a step?

Hi .. I don't want you to do the drastic **Factory Default** button.

Can you kindly go through each tab and corner of Toolz, and toggle/touch each slider etc.. to give a 'value' to it.
Then.. after gone through every button/selection/slider, press EEpromSave, and try switching on continuous updates ?
Not saying that you missed something... or that I missed writing a step.
Only want you to get going :)

Thanks George.

Just went through everything and changed/assigned a new value for all of it. Did an EEPROM save and I still get the error. So I went ahead and did a factory reset. No difference, unfortunately. Still get the error about about 10 to 15 seconds.

Hmm.... Were you running v0.53 by any chance ( previous to installing C.055 )??

Can you copy what the Toolz is telling you in the error, and send it to me by email ?
Thanks !

Hi George,
after flashing the 3X STD with C055, also downloadet the toolz v.C055. (i deleted and deinstalled all previous files)
i have the same issue, but first a different bug number (255). if i press to contine, a differed bug number turns up, the same as DKtek`s. After i close the window, white light turns of an blue and red dimlight are flashing again...sems to work.
What i don`t understand is the button "continuous updates"? Where is it?
i tried to attach a .txt file with the confliction list, but it is not possible.

actualy the txt got attached
