NAZA + 330x-s + Dx6i (need some help before first flight)

I am using a DX6i in ACRO mode. Should I keep my DX6i Travel Adjustments the same as it was with the stock GU-344 gyro? Or should they all be 100% (other than GEAR)?

Original Settings;
Travel Adj
THRO 100 AILE 40
ELEV 40 RUDD 50
GEAR 80 FLAP 100

Any tips on using the AUX channel for something useful ? Is there any way to use it for failsafe since my gear (2 way) controls Manual for Atti mode.

Naza + 330x-s + Dx6i ...progress made, but I still have some questions

The VU unit I received has loose internal wiring. I was able to make the main LEDs work by putting pressure on the housing using a zip tie. So that through me off for a while. I am not sure if I will get a replacement or not as it seems to work now.

I also determined based on other posts that I should set my Travel Adjustments on my DX6i all to 100% as opposed to using the settings I had when using the GU344 gyro.

I was able to get Failsafe working via Flaps/Gyro switch. To do so, I set FLAPS LAND to about 21 plus in the MIX 1;

FLAP ---> GEAR ACT
RATE D + 29% U 0%
SW ON TRIM INH

When connected to the Assistant Software, this works fine. However, when I test the Failsafe via the Flap/Gyro switch the throttle increases instead of spinning down. This happens as the VU blinks confirming Failsafe is on.

Am I missing a step here? I am a little hesitant to test fly it yet.

Mission accomplished. I was able to get the DX6i working. Gear toggle switches between A and M flight, and Flap toggle turns Fail safe on and off.

Flight tested. I love the Naza compared to Gaui's GU-344 gyro.

It seems to work fine when testing it 4-5 feet off the ground . I still need to test it from higher elevations and different throttle positions...

If the craft is moving, it will continue to move when you initiate failsafe/autoland. I did it on my hexa while moving forward and it bounced across the grass a few times before it stopped. That was from about 10' up. Better than being a brick or a lost bird do to loss of orientation.

I swapped out my original stock 330x-s's GU-344 Gyro for a Naza recently. Everything is working great, but at some point I will want to re-program the ESCs as I did in the original 330x-s setup.

In the original 330x-s setup, you would detach the green gain plug, turn the gyro down, power the ESCs, then turn on your tx with full throttle. It would then enter programming mode.

How do you do the same thing with the Naza? I want to sell my GU-344, but I am wondering if I need it in order to program the ESCs. I must be missing something...
