InfinityMR Universal high performance gimbal for GH4/A7S size cameras

It can't be a direct InfnityMR competitor.
750g cameras, not more. Easy balancing, encoders and light construction - these are main points.
In due time I will post more.

Ok sounds like we'll be good with the cameras I use. The GH4/A7S are considerably larger.

Patiently awaiting but eager!

This week I am planning (and it is quite possible) to send all orders remaining on the order list. Hopefully with the beginning of June every order placed will be shipped systematically.

Just got my hands on the infinityMr, and first impressions are really good. Build quality feels really good, and the thumb screws are a really nice touch.

Also deling with Jakuban has been a good experience.

I have ordered the gimbal with encoders and AM board. I find connecting the encoder wires a bit confusing.

Could you please make a connecting diagram for the AM board including all the encoder wires, plus RC pitch and yaw?

Thank you

Did you buy the AM from Jakub to? If so, I thought it would come assembled and ready to go or at least partially so you'd just have to assemble a few parts...

Is it a kit with no instructions?

Yep, I did.

To complete the gimbal assembly is a no brainer really, so no instructions are needed for the gimbal itself.

The gimbal controller however is not mounted, but the mounting of the controller and IMU's looks easy enough.

The only challenge is where to connect the different wires on the AM board. In my case that means the encoder wires, and the rc pitch and yaw control. Also I think you need to buy the encoder licence from basecam.

(Please keep in mind that I have little experience with 32bit AM, after fiddeling with a Phobotic CP since it released)

It's past midnight here, and a rain storm is coming in a few hours, so probably not before a couple of days :( Also I have not desided if I will try the CP or the AM board on it first. I would really like to try the encoders, but right now I find the AM with encoders a bit more confusing than just using the CP.

If Jakuban makes an easy AM encoder and rc input connection diagram tomorrow, I will probably try the AM first. Poland and Norway is in the same timezone, so he is probably sleeping right now...

It will really be interesting to see your opinion beween the CP and the AlexmMos with encoders. When you do the Alexmos, I hope you will try some different days and wish for some temperature changes to see if it stays consistent without retuning.

A smal update from me:

I have been struggeling a bit with my AM board. This has nothing to do with the gimbal itself, but probably more with my limited experience with AM.

Jakub has been really really helpful. He has answered all my questions fast, and came up with all the sollutions I needed. Even if I have not flown this thing yet, I can assure you that this has been my best gimbal experience yet, and I am really confident that this gimbal will give me the video I have been dreaming about.

And did I mention that the build quality feels superb?!!!

Good to hear. What are the issues you've been having? Were you able to get the encoders connected???

Thanks for the update.

I had some issues getting the board to communicate with the GUI after a firmware update. The solution was to flash with a recovery firmware, then erase EEPROM from GUI, and then install the firmware again. I´m working with IMU calibrations now.

The manual Jakub made, has a good step by step instructions of how to connect and enable the encoders, so I think that will be quite easy. Will report back as soon as I have the gimbal running.
