Just a heads up that Gentles will be releasing a remote for the GH4 this week, that lets you start/stop and zoom with the latest x series lenses from Panasonic.
I noticed Horizon AP testing it out, so I ordered one and should have it in the next few days, will let you know how it goes.

You want the 151 for the GH4, any European buyers just be aware that VAT is not shown at all until after purchase.
You may want to wait a few days until they get the right angled jack cables in which are on order.

Yep we've been testing one over the few days, works great for the most part! A few things to bear in mind:

- I think a right angled connector is a must for most people unless you have a large gimbal like the M10. With a straight one we had to angle the camera on the BeSteady mount to fit it on.

- you can start/stop video and shoot stills at the same time, but the camera has to be in a stills mode, so it will only shoot 1080 video (it needs to be in creative video mode to shoot 4k). You can start stop video in movie mode fine.

- zoom is a great feature to have, however maybe not enough control to do a creative zoom - I mean it's nice to be able to set a focal length in the air for a shot then change for another, but actually zooming as part of a shot may not work (our 14-42 only seems to have a few speeds, it's not smooth). When a power zoom lens is connected there is a new menu option under the custom menu for it, this allows a few options including slowing the speed of the zoom, which may help - More testing is needed!

All in all a good little tool. Well done to James Gentles for getting it sorted so quick!

One thing I would like to know if when zooming would it throw off the balance much, as the lens extends out doesn't it?
I was going to try it on the M5 which I don't think would cause a problem with straight jacks.
Is interesting that the only lens not to extend out is the 35-100mm, which is also a constant F2.8, at least all the lenses are parfocal.

Just got myself the 32 channel 7" Black Pearl diversity monitor today, which works well with the DJI AVL58 thankfully.
Also got a 14SG monitor mount, which is actually 3D Printed, it looks good on the site before you purchase it but the quality doesn't seem too good at all and not sure I can trust it..

Any recommendations for a good quality monitor mount?

Also received an ND filter today which is one of the best I have seen so far, It is a 46mm one for the 25mm 1.4 Lumix lens, but it does come in other sizes.
It is a heliopan ND 1.2 (4 Stops), which seems to be perfect for the UK skyline, you will probably need more were its sunny all the time.
20 grams only, and is "really" good quality.

I must admit the black pearl is a really great monitor especially with the built in 11.1V 1000mAh battery, gets rid of all the messing around with wires.

mine is working on the kopterworx adapters, the cheapest way is the amazon white hdmi2av converters, but to make them realisticly flyable takes some baller mods,,,,, unsolder all the rca crap, remove the case, heat shrink it

this is one with the bec's strategicaly placed and held apart to prevent overheating, converter and vtx....

Kloner - I'm doing this HDMI converter mod now. I have a couple of questions - does the converter need power? I only see a USB/Power port on it. Also, do you wire the video (-) ground cable to anything? I only see the power cables from the transmitter in this pic.

yes it does, i use the Cam +5volt output, the ground is buss and common through out the board, the power ground will cover the video signal ground. I make a servo lead and rearange the wires so they just plug into an immersion vtx with video sig, +5 and ground, then i power the immersion vtx with that wire shown
