I have both the Fatshark Base edition and the Dominator. I like the built in RX with the Dominators, I'm not tied to any other gear by cables which makes flying FPV so much easier and the rubber eyepeices that they have are a step up from the old foam around the edges of the base edition. What I don't like about the Dominator vs. the base is the interpupillary distance is fixed on the Dominator and adjustable on the base. I find the spacing of the Dominator screens just a shade too narrow for me and I don't get a crisp, clear inages across the entire field of view like I can by adjusting the distance properly on the base edition.
If I could have the best of both in the same set of goggles I'd be 100% happy, as it is I like the base because they can be adjusted to where I need them to be but the screen images aren't quite as sharp as on the Dominator. I like the built in RX of the Dominator and the better light blocking of the rubber eyepieces but have to focus on the parts of the screen that are clearest for me which effectively reduces the usuable field of view. What I do see clearly is sharp with good contrast and color, unfortunately it's not as much as I can see with the base edition.
If you're seriously thinking of the Dominators you should try and find someone nearby that has a set that you can try first to see if the fixed screens are a problem for you. If I had been able to try them out first I wouldn't have bought them, I would have stayed with the set of base edition I already had until something better came along.
