"Drone" Radio Live....Launching Oct 28th!

Bartman

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
Five years ago.....
....I bought my first multi-rotor helicopter kit, a Mikrokopter Okto II and life has literally never been the same. At the time you could find a place on the internet to discuss just about everything....Les Pauls, oil-heads, family trees.....but if you wanted to freely discuss the entirety of what was going on with multi-rotor helicopters then you were out of luck.

So in December of 2010 I registered the domain MultiRotorForums.com, bought some server space and have worked very hard ever since to maintain a friendly and civil environment where all brands and all issues can be discussed objectively and openly.

On October 28th, at 9 PM Eastern time we're taking a big evolutionary step forward with the launch of "Drone" Radio Live, a new bi-weekly show that will be live-streamed (including video!) over the internet from our new production studio in scenic Clinton, NJ!!

The show can be found at;
www.youtube.com/user/multirotorforums/live

"Drone" Radio Live will be all about multi-rotor helicopters...
  • How to build
  • How to fix
  • How to fly
  • How they are being used
  • Current news discussions with Patrick Egan of sUASnews.com
  • Safety briefings
  • Product reviews
  • Contest announcements
  • Multi-rotors in STEM education
  • FPV racing reports and event announcements
  • Feature discussions with the people making multi-rotor news
  • Viewer calls (via Skype), show off your latest builds, mods, etc!
  • Government Regulation :(
  • Plus a whole lot more!
Episode 1 on the 28th will be our opportunity to answer the most common questions we've encountered in the months spent preparing to launch the show. Patrick Egan will be calling in (via Skype) to discuss the news and we'll try to save some time at the end for our first viewer calls (also via Skype).

Whenever possible we'll emphasize a balance between personal responsibility and achieving a reasonable regulatory environment. People involved at all levels that are working to achieve this will have an open invitation to participate and use this platform to advance their goals.

Please join us on the 28th at 9PM Eastern via the link below;
www.youtube.com/user/multirotorforums/live

Reach us via Skype during the show when indicated at DroneRadioLive1 or DroneRadioLive2.

Join us to discuss "Drone" Radio Live at MultiRotorForums.com

Please email Bart at Bart@MultiRotorForums.com if you have questions about how to appear on "Drone" Radio Live or how to become a sponsor.

Thank you very much for reading, we'll see you on the 28th!

"Drone" Radio Live, a new streaming internet talk show focused exclusively on multi-rotor helicopters, the people that build and fly them, and the companies that make them. Hosted by Bart Cocchiola, not an internet marketing specialist (obviously!) trying to get in on the "Drone" revolution but a builder/flyer/designer/crasher of multi-rotor helicopters and your host at MultiRotorForums.com!

Great! Send me what info you can and I'll pass it along to my company's industry communications team where they update UAV news daily for internal employee dissemination. Believe it or not, the engineering employees of large UAV companies are relatively ignorant of the current state of aero RC and multirotors.

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
Thanks Pat! There'll be a blastmail going out very soon, maybe this evening or tomorrow morning and it will have all of the info. The show is going to be an extension of multirotorforums.com and multirotorforums.com will become an extension of the show. For example, I have a Hornet 250 RTF FPV quad from AeroXCraft that is awaiting a review. Instead of doing a video review I'll be discussing it live in the first show, probably as part of a ten minute segment with video. That segment will continue back at the site as people ask questions and begin flying their own Hornets. It's all going to be interrelated eventually.
The special broadcasts can cover anything we want to cover really, I own the studio now so the sky's the limit!

The notice came to my spam mail folder. Good thing I checked before I chucked. Will you do any type of viewer/listener feature stories about their AUV related interests? Will you maybe have a spot featuring helpful viewer videos about setup, tuning, flight skills or whatever? Just wondering about the level of audience participation you are looking for. I'm also a singer/songwriter if you need any musical input.

ugh, it sucks to know that even with a reputable email service doing the deliveries, email systems are still looking at it as spam! :(

Yes there will be an opportunity for viewers to call in and share what they've been doing, in fact I highly encourage it! We'll have a segment for call-ins, something like a show-and-tell where you can call in via Skype and use your web-cam to show off your latest creations. You won't just be showing me, we'll be feeding your webcam into our live feed as part of the show. As for great videos and other content, we'll mention stuff but won't necessarily run the whole video....in that case we can refer people back to MultiRotorForums.com for the link to the complete video, story, etc.

I'm planning to do segments on building skills and other topics that will be useful for people that are still building their own. On the other hand we'll also try to help RTF users to understand how their aircraft work and how tey can get the most out of them.

RIght now we're planning to do this every other week but if it becomes obvious we need to make it weekly or spin off specific topics to their own shows we've got the freedom to do it.

Thanks for the questions.

I give it 6 months and you will have a 30 second spot for DJI ads.

i don't know if that's a bad thing or not considering what DJI has done in the way of successfully turning multi-rotor helicopters into a consumer product. what people have done with them at times has been pretty annoying but that's something we'll discuss from time to time to make the point that personal responsibility is a necessary component of ownership.

sponsors are welcome, that was said in the blastmail that went out today and we might already have our first and it isn't DJI!
