What’s new?

Firmware

  • Free Ground Station function available without S/N, 16 waypoints supported. (Supportthe Ground Station on PC or iPAD when using the 2.4G Bluetooth Datalink)
  • Add Flight limits (Default Max Height is 2000m and Max radius is 2000m).
  • Add Motor Test function.
  • Optimize the taking off conditions to meet most requirements of taking off on moving vehicles.
  • Optimize the conditions to enter into the compass calibration more easily.


Software

  • Add Flight limits in the【Advanced】page.
  • Add Motor Test function in the【Aircraft】page under the【Basic】page.

I have connected the bluetooth LED and the "normal LED" with the USB connector.
Whren I start the 2.18 assistant it shows at the update page :

main controller 3.16 no updates
PMU 0.2.0.4 no updates
BTU 1.0.1.2 no updates

how can I update the main controller to 4.0 ?
There is no option.

When I want to switch to the other pages for parameters and so on the assistant
tells me I have to update the main controller to a newer version.
But how ?

I have connected the PC via the USB connector on the "normal LED" because it is the only usb connector in the system.

And where can I buy the 2.4G Bluetooth Datalink ?
It is not only the bluetooth LED !!!!!

DJI again has announced things that are not reality.

This also only supports V2 units, V1 units are now all but forgotten. My V1 is less than a year old and already a pile of junk, that is kind or annoying. I guess I should go blow another $400+ to get the newer version huh?

Of course it supports the V1's, it is listed for the V1's, just DJI stuffing up again.

Looks like they have announced it again and forgotten to put it in the right place for the Assistant software to find it, DOH!!!

Will be there in the next day or two as soon as they wake up and read their emails with us all telling them off.

Same issue.... 2.18 will not update to V4.0. Says mismatch and tells you to use 2.16 to update to 3.16?????

Im confused now for sure!@!@

Just means they have not loaded the V4.0 firmware somewhere that the 2.18 software can find it, did the same thing with the 3.16 firmware, seems like they are slow learners.

Come on DJI sort it out guys.

Ok so I am confused do I just need the BTU model to get the waypoint features or do I need that plus the 2.4Ghz Datalink module? Also where do you get the PC Groundstation software and is there only one version of the IOS which seems to allow you to control the flight... which was not mentioned as a function for the Naza. Come on DJI make it allot clearer. Have a cross reference table or something that shows functions against products.

I could not find the software for the v1 on their site, only the v2

Yes, upgrade to 4.0 is working now !
I upgraded and did the first testfly.
Everything ok !

Also with the 2.4 datalink I can connect to the pc groundstation in windows.
Did not fly waypoints till now.

update us on your flight test ok......thx.....downloaded assist 2.18 but no upgrading yet on my f450....
