Thanks for the info Kloner, Im keen to try 4s as more power is always more fun :), After you findings on your 4s setup I might stick with the 10x5s. Strange that you are a little down on power running 3s and the 10x5 graupners. I run fairly new 3000 3s packs so they're voltage under load is...

    Naza loops and rolls.

I've been running the Graupner 10x5s on 3s in my FPV rig.. it weighs 1320g and they are suited perfectly for this weight. I have ordered some graupner 9x5s to try but dont hold much hope for them on 3s at my FPV weight, I'd say on 4s they will be great. The graupners have a LOT less blade area...

    Naza loops and rolls.

The above flight was mainly in Man mode.. It will not bank over 45Deg or so in Atti. I hit atti a few times (like just before I bumped the ground and flew around under the table) but then realized that it was too soft to fly like that and flicked back to man. The more I fly it the more...

    Naza loops and rolls.

Hey, good to see more DJI's in Oz. I live bayside in Brisbane so its always windy.. gotta get up early to get the good weather for practicing. In atti mode im 100% rates and 20% expo Ail/Ele for really smooth flying. No expo on rudder Manual mode im also 100% to keep roll rate up but im...

    Naza loops and rolls.

Hi all, Just thought I'd post this for those interested. Last Sat I decided it was time to try some aeros with my FPV Flamewheel/Naza.... I had read it was possible but still had my heart in my mouth that first time I pulled up. I've done a lot of 3D heli flying but still had my doubts...

    F450/Naza fun in the wind...

They are the right size but you don't need to over do it, they are specialist s/steel units. 2 of those are more than a replacement motor :) Theses are the ones similar spec to what I used... Much better than std. http://www.bocabearings.com/bearing-inventory/Radial-Bearings/321/MR693ZZ-3x8x4...

    F450/Naza fun in the wind...

Hey Gary, The bearings are 8x4x3mm, I managed to get some NTN units from a local "small parts" supplier. Now they have new bearings that are also not too pre-loaded the motors spin more freely and when spun by hand with props on spin longer and stop with a bounce against the magnet poles rather...

    F450/Naza fun in the wind...

Thanks for the info Gary, I'm at 1320g and the 10x5 graupners are working a treat. I just finished replacing all of the motor bearings with good Jap units, and made sure they were not to pre-loaded....everything is now running much smoother. I always had 2 motors that ran hotter than the other...

Didnt stop the Naza :tennis: Here's a screenshot from 400ft, Blowing 20knts at 6:30pm and about to start raining again.... the sky was angry as you will see. Had to drop my atti gains to 75, vert to...

    Naza Trim Issue

Good to see you got it sorted out kloner, My lipos are strapped underneath also... I wouldn't think it should make a difference but you never know. I have not been able to try the switching from atti to man etc yet due to rain but am keen to test it out. I found my bad DX7 pot by flicking the...

    Naza Trim Issue

I was having drifting issues when I first set my Naza up, turned out to be the pots gone bad in my DX7 (over 5yrs old) Switched over to my JR11x and its now perfect. I fly fpv and constantly switch from Atti to manual through my flight and it does not change trim.... Even if I flick to man...

    dialing it in

Hi, The props were fairly good but not perfect. I have a custom made billet Magnetic balancer for my pylon racing props that I use.... Very accurate. I forgot to mention that I had 2 dud bearings in motors.. Only lasted 2-3 flights. I think DJI put a little too much pre-load on them when...

    dialing it in

Hi there, I really like my Hero2, it works great even if it's almost Dark. I too have been chasing a bit of "jello" on my Hero2/flamewheel fpv rig. Currently have velcro'd to the lower plate then a Velcro battery strap around it all to secure. Found I was strapping it down too hard at...
