    WKM S800 Mounting X-Y-Z

    WKM S800 Mounting X-Y-Z

The CG is the z axis would be how far down is the tipping point. Is the aircraft top heave or bottom heavy. It becomes the point around which the rotation occurs. For example, without the Zen, the CG is higher. If I were to take off without landing gear, it's even higher. If I were to put...

    WKM S800 Mounting X-Y-Z

Chris, I agree your comment about ksr numbers... They don't add up with what he is describing. However, with regards to your setup, I trust your measuring from the z-axis CG, and not just measuring from the IMU position. In my case, with landing gear, camera, battery, etc., my CG is about 2cm...

    Simple question...

Yes, you can do it on the Naza as well.

    regarding IMU and GPS replacement

As for GPS, yes. I understand the V1 GPS has problems and that DJI would replace it. I got V2 right off the bat. As for IMU, V2 refers to the EVO version which isn't plastic anymore, and that you have to buy if you want it. I fly with the original IMU.

DJI Released New Firmware 3.14 for Naza-M V1、V2 And Phantom!

This long startup time must be for just some. Mine is ready to fly within 20-30 after connecting the battery...

Intelligent Mode or Immediately Mode for motors????

In my opinion, if a pilot needs to immediately stop the props, that's why there is the CSC. It's immediate, but it takes a deliberate action.

What are you gain settings for 5.16 firmware

Hi Spartan. The pitch and roll ones, yes. I always have those set to the same value. The yaw and vertical ones tend to be in the same neighborhood, but I would tune separately since the raise/lower symptoms are different. They may end up being the same value. BTW, I just looked at my yaw and...

DJI F450 Naza mount w/ Velcro

Yes, height does matter, but you configure that in the Assistant Software. So if you lower it 60 inches, then you adjust the AS accordingly.

DJI F450 Naza mount w/ Velcro

No, no difference. The GPS antenna doesn't have any inertial stuff in it; it's purely the compass and GPS. So the way I understand it (and I'm no expert) is that movement (vibration) in it isn't the issue; the issue is if it comes loose and falls over then starts giving incorrect heading...

DJI F450 Naza mount w/ Velcro

I wouldn't go with a wobbly GPS. The other day I flew with a wobbly GPS, but stayed 2 ft off the ground; I only did it because the screw came loose and I didn't have my tools. How is it attached via velcro? Is it on a stick? If so, and the velcro is at the base, then I would be worried the...

DJI F450 Naza mount w/ Velcro

Stauntonflyer, sorry, I knew you were talking Naza FC, but I took Pseudopod's question as referring to the GPS (maybe he wasn't). I had not seen a setup like yours, and I really like how you did the GPS... I may have to do the same thing. My comment I made earlier was just a warning to what...

    R7008SB S-Bus with NAZA?

AboveAll, the issue is that the 7008s have various modes and supports Sbus2 which the Naza and WKM do not support. The 6208 works very well with both, but the 7008 is tricky to get it to work in normal Sbus mode from what I have read in a couple places.

DJI F450 Naza mount w/ Velcro

The only device I have seen is coming later this year from DJI where they have a folding mount for the GPS on the new EVO S800. Other than that, I've just seen the usual remove-two-screws method. I have heard of a big rig crashing because their GPS came loose and couldn't control the MR anymore...

Naza V2 fw 3.12 - New Takeoff - how does it work?

Same here. From plugging in battery, to init completing, to GPS lock and takeoff, is under 30-45 seconds (unless I've traveled a long ways or had the MR off for several days). And yes, the double blinking versus single blinking is all four controls centered, including throttle.

What are you gain settings for 5.16 firmware

You will find that it is going to be very subjective and unique for each setup and pilot, but based purely on what has worked for me, I'd start with 215ish for roll/pitch basic gain, 175ish for yaw/altitude basic gain, and 150ish for roll/pitch attitude gain. (I wish I had better memory of what...

Flight mode setup help , U channel not on ch5

Since you are using s-bus, the U channel (Naza Control Mode) will come in on channel 7, can't change that (and gimbal control on 5, and IOC mode on 6). You need to run 7 individual wires if you wanted to swap those positions. I don't know the T9CH transmitter, but on the Futaba 8FG you can do...

    Over Heating Battery, please help!

As for the battery, there are basically two things that would cause the battery to overheat while being used: 1) discharging at a rate higher than the specs for the battery, and 2) discharging the battery the far (i.e. like down to 3.1V per cell, or close to the total amperage capacity of the...
