Learn to walk before you run

What do you plan to use it for? Just FPV? If for photo or video shooting, your going to need a video downlink a pond monitor setup, or your FPV goggles. I am partial towards Futaba. I think the 8FG are great, and will come with an R6208SB receiver, but you can also use a cheaper FrSky...

S800 EVO - landing gear help.

Out of curiousity, why are you connecting the landing gear to X3? I recommend you reserve X3 for actual Wookong functions, and wire the landing gear directly to your receiver. I use channel 8. As for the red flashing LED on the landing gear, have you read the manual? The slow flashing red...

The WooKong is dead, long live the A2

Agreed... that's how I got myself another V1 Wookong for so cheap with lots of accessories (a package worth ~2700 with iOSD, BT LED, 50 Wpts, etc) for $1100. For me it was worth it.

Had a silly idea but thought I should ask the experts

Me personally, I just don't think the technology and structure are there yet.... this in terms of range, battery life, reliability, payload capacity. I think a tilt rotor might help in some of these areas, but I am not aware of one being available yet. The other problem is government...

    WARNING - Firmware 5.24

My bad... I went back and realized the cable came with the video downlink, not the Zen or iOSD as I had stated,

Naza M GPS firmware 3.16 upgrade - lastest upgrade 3.16

Have you verified the travel/range for all your controls and confirmed you can get full range on all of them? What LED indications are you getting? BTW, your version page looks good to me.

    WARNING - Firmware 5.24

Either my iOSD, or my ZenH3-2D came with the cable. I didn't have to make one. The cable that comes with it wires it to Channel 1 so that on powerup you get the video without having to switch.

DJI Released New Firmware 5.24 for WKM

Agree with Mombasa, the Bluetooth LED is one of the more well thought out accessories DJI has rooled out, and so greatly helps working in the field with your WKM. I have one for both of my setups, and considering getting one for my Naza setup.

DJI 450 flamewheel and Naza Controller going above battery specs

Recommendation: don't go by time either. Just wait until you don't get any red flashes. At 5 satellites you were getting a single red flash, and that flash goes away when you acquire the 6th. Glad you found your issue.

    Hobbyking Extra Fees

If i recall correctly from my last order, on HobbyKing's payment form it says an x% fee will be charged, but waived if you use Paypal. Since I always use PayPal, I promptly diregarded and placed the order.

    naza failsafe )..any help

Sorry that I won't be able to speak to your transmitter/receiver pair specifically, but I can tell you that on my Futaba setup, when I power off the transmitter, the "Failsafe" region turns blue and reads "Failsafe" in the mode area. In my case it's because with the Futaba I can program loss of...

    WARNING - Firmware 5.24

Dave, thanks for fully looking into this further, and sorry that the problem is still showing itself for you. This weekend I went back to 5.24 and flew extensively in GPS mode, and had no issues throughout my 10ish flights in GPS mode. But, as pointed out around here, I have the V2 GPS which...

What to do! Keep my f550 or upgrade.. To what?

Honestly, can't tell you because I haven't bought mine yet. Currently my NEX-5R is on my S800 which takes care of it all for me. You can switch between video and photo as you wish, but you can't change the exposure settings with it. I don't know if the StratoSnapper is better in this regard...

DJI 450 flamewheel and Naza Controller going above battery specs

Ben, just to make clear, when we say tune your gains, we aren't talking about adjusting the homelock setting so that it is in the blue. That's a transmitter issue, and if it's in the blue, you should be fine. When we say "gains" we're talking about the 6 percentage numbers, 2 for roll and...

What to do! Keep my f550 or upgrade.. To what?

There is also the StratoSnapper (http://www.intelligentuas.com/FPV-Video-Link/StratoSnapper-2-For-Remote-Camera-Shutter-Video-Recording-Zoom-From-Your-Transmitter). The 5N doesn't have time lapse capability; however, the 5R does as one of the app download options. As for FPV, you can use any...

DJI 450 flamewheel and Naza Controller going above battery specs

Bensid, it sounds like, to me, all you need to do is work on your gains for the heavier load. I have an F450 with 3S 6000mah batteries, plug gimbal and landing gear. It doesn't seem like you are pushing the limits of the F450 by going to dual 2200mah, but rather just some tuning. Just my 2...

Hmmm... I'm not seeing anything thing other than "this controller", but nothing saying what "this" is.

2 devastating crashes in a month using Wookong

Can I ask why your first inclination is to think its the firmware? Sure, it's the one thing that changed, but there are other factors. Have you checked all the ESCs, motors, solder points, props? Did you happen to have a data logger? (Like the iOSD.)

    wookong m GPS

There is a thread about "2 major crashes" (that's in the title) that had a lengthy side topic about GPS and solar activity. There was another post about parts of Europe being affected by a jamming exercise (I forget that thread title).. Since solar flares and GPS jamming are not a Wookong...
