Which flight controller for S900 - A2 or Wookong?

Erm, no. Sounds cool though! I use the two slider switches between the main sticks to control the gimbal whiclst keeping my hands on the sticks (you need long fingers like me though!). It does have some small push buttons on the sticks which I use to take an exposure, which is nice.

Which flight controller for S900 - A2 or Wookong?

Technically yes. On my S800 I just need 10, but on the S900 there are retracts so 11 are needed. I am not using the IOC functions on the S900 yet, I would only need them in an emergency anyway (with a motor out and it does the spinning thing then course lock could be handy, not that I've tried...

Which flight controller for S900 - A2 or Wookong?

I think 11 channels are needed for all the functions.

Which flight controller for S900 - A2 or Wookong?

Bluebeams are supposed to be great. I would still consider patch antennas on the ground, they penetrate trees better. I personally use Spektrum stuff. DX10t transmitter, receivers are AR12010 on S900 and AR10000 on my S800. Oh, you mean for video? ImmersionRC VTx and Black pearl monitor with...

Which flight controller for S900 - A2 or Wookong?

WKM doesn't lower the landing gear when you activate failsafe from a switch, but you can if the transmitter is switched off (true failsafe). Which antennas are you using with your 5.8ghz video? I find the little patch antennas make for a bulletproof signal.

Which flight controller for S900 - A2 or Wookong?

Sounds like you're getting confused to me. What's the point in increased range when you can only legally fly 500m away? 5.8GHz is great at this kind of range. The CAA banned 5.8ghz as a control frequency, for video it is fine, hence why we all use it.

Which flight controller for S900 - A2 or Wookong?

No I don't, and personally I don't recommend it. Stick with 5.8GHz for video as that's all you'll really need for 99.99% of jobs.

Naza Lite - could intelligent cut-off mode kill the motors in air when descending?

Yes, it could happen. If you set it to immediate then you wouldn't have the three seconds at all, it would instantly drop! All you have to do is not drop the throttle below 10%, simples. :nevreness: I have mine set to immediate for safety reasons, if it crashes I want to be able to kill the...

The Besteady gimbal supports it. Didn't I mention that before? :nevreness: http://www.videogear.co.uk/3-Axis-Gimbal/BeSteady-One-Combo-Rig/prod_5289.html

    Zenmuse GH4 Owners thread

I would consider a replacement. That's a pretty bad jolt your getting.

If a Phantom can handle it.....

I would have to say 4S as well. Instantly longer flight times and a more efficient system. Not sure why your motors got hot last time. You need slightly smaller props if going 4S, ideally you want the motors spinning faster but generating the same lift as on 3S.

The ALL New DJI S900 Hexacopter!

What up Andy! One of the screws on my GPS mast wasn't long enough and didn't engage with the thread, used a longer one from my 'box of many things' and all good now. I was impressed with the S900 otherwise. I thought the quality looked great (remember, I'm coming from an original S800 :) ). I...

The ALL New DJI S900 Hexacopter!

I fly from every surface known to man. A couple of flight cases or blocks will work in any circumstance. I guess I could get the S1000 legs if need be. My old S800 legs look like they'll fit also...

The ALL New DJI S900 Hexacopter!

Zenmuse GH4. I don't care about the short legs, using a couple of blocks is fine by me...it's only for the calibration bit so no biggy.

The ALL New DJI S900 Hexacopter!

I flew mine today, fantastic! Flew like a dream and stable as anything. Very quiet compared to my old S800, a smooth hum from all the motors.
