DJI S900 with A2 on a Cruise Ship

Yes!!!! The limit is set from the home point, which on a moving ship is constantly moving away from you. Once you have reached the set limit, say 500m, the aircraft will not go any further (on a cruise ship you would have moved 500m in less than a minute) and the aircraft will just sit there as...

FREEFLY Systems Freefly ALTA, RTF collapsible hexacopter

Wow, now that's a good price. I was hoping it would be reasonable. Do we know anything about the flight controller yet? I see the Synapse was released long ago but I haven't really heard of anyone using it, how come?

    s800 motor dropping out

I had that issue. It was an ESC giving up. Replace it and you'll be all good.

Aeronavics / Droidworx SkyJib X4 Crashes Testing Failsafe

As above, receiver failsafe. You need to have the transmitter throttle at 50% when binding it to the receiver. You can test it on the assistant program by turning off the transmitter and checking that the throttle doesn't drop to zero.

So, anyone done the update yet? There's surprisingly little about it on the net.

I'm hoping it'll fix the roll issue. The A2 has an advanced calibration function but us WKM users don't, so hopefully auto calibration will help.

Ravenhall are great and competitively priced. John Heath (Cover Drone) are also good, although a little more expensive.

    Hi from South West UK

Hi John! Thanks for the compliment. I just happened to enter the market when things took off. What a fantastic place you live at! I must come down for a fly sometime.

    Help me decide.

Or you could just go for an Inspire. In the right price bracket and ready to go.

    Hi from South West UK

None I'm afraid. Purely DJI flight controllers for me (boring I know). Still feel free to ask Multiwii questions. With a few of us googling we can work it out!

    Hi from South West UK

Welcome to the forum mate. I'm not far from you up in Gloucestershire. Lots of help and support here on the forum so feel free to ask any question (about MRs of course).

    Help me decide.

    Well, I'll have to work in £....so: S900 + Zenmuse + Wookong = £2500 GH4 with 12mm lens = £1650 Lipos = around £200 for each set. Let's say you need around 6 sets to get you started so £1200 Charger + Power supply = £370 Transmitter = £600 FPV gear = around £300 Total = £6620 (around $10,000)

    Help me decide.

I personally wouldn't go for an S800. It's an old model with a few niggles. For the GH4 you can't go wrong with the S900 package deal which comes with the GH4 zenmuse.

how much to wait between flights?

No need to wait. I usually just change lipos and off again.

Which FC has best loiter mode?

For ease of setup and precision I would recommend the NAZA. The loiter is spot on and takes five minutes to setup.
