LiPo Choice. Hey Carapau, Thanks for giving me the heads up. I'm been glancing over some other threads discussing similar outcomes to you. Not encouraging at all. I will look at the Gens Ace LiPo's, and any other reasonable alternates. Will have to ship them in to the country though as I...

Should the signal wire be accompanied by a ground as well, or should that just go back to the BEC?

Hey Steve, That should be easy enough. I have more than enough current in the Gryphon BEC. Any particular reason why?

So basically it can't be done because I will exceed the limit of the sensor? And even if I didn't it would affect other systems negatively anyway. I just remove the whole EagleTree System? I've not tried the Immersion stuff, other than their Vtx. That's fairly disappointing.

Really? Have you tried it? I had faith in the other method? I would much rather be monitoring both packs given the option.

    Wiring Diagrams

Exactly. The eLogger from EagleTree is the 150A version, but according to the eCalc I may hit up to 170A. Over on the Voldermort forum there has been a discussion about splitting the load around the logger and measuring your draw then recalibrating the eLogger software . Apparently it works a...

Before I start warming up the iron, I thought I'd post this here so other people can have a look over what I am planning, and double-check my layout. Better to do it now before finding out in a more destructive fashion later on. Please feel free to upload your wiring diagrams, as I have found...

    Wookong-M GPS Hold Broken? Troubleshoot?

This is the theory I am working on too. I was going to incorporate one of these in my latest build for the IMU. In terms of the GPS hold being erratic or non-existent, the only thing you didn't mention in your original post stj5353 is external interference factors. Be they electrical or...

    Wookong-M GPS Hold Broken? Troubleshoot?

I read this on the Wookong page of the dji wiki... "The loss of altitude when flying an S800 comes from excessive vibration getting to the IMU (inertial measurement unit). Users should attempt to reduce the vibration of IMU by both reducing the vibration (i.e. prop balancing) as well as...

Basics of Setting up Eagletree elogger and OSD PRO on a multi-rotor

Power for the camera and VTX can come from a separate source other than the OSD correct? So I can send the yellow signal wire from the camera to the OSD's video in port, and a yellow signal wire from the OSD's video out port to the transmitter, but power both the transmitter and the camera...

Basics of Setting up Eagletree elogger and OSD PRO on a multi-rotor

Is the temp sensor an infrared one, or does it have to be in contact with a surface to read accurately? I was considering burying one amongst the esc nest, but there is enough wire in there already. The RSSI does interest me though, although I'll have to research that further. I run a futaba...

Basics of Setting up Eagletree elogger and OSD PRO on a multi-rotor

Hey kloner, I'm wiring up an EagleTree system now for use on a Wookong controlled octo, and just wanted to get a few things straight. 1.) I don't send any of the control inputs to the OSD (throttle, ail, elev) as this is just for the RTH function of the EagleTree systems. Correct? 2.) The GPS...

    High Current OSD

I have a eLogger/OSD from EagleTree (the 150A version), which I am looking to install on a new Octocopter. However, my current draw may exceed the 150A that the eLogger is rated for by some 10A (according to eCalc). Has anyone encountered this situation before, or found a way to work with it?

    H3-3D Gimbal Issues

My tilt axis is constantly chattering. You can't see it moving but you can feel it if you touch the metal bell-housing. Like the gimbal isn't balanced. I'm using a Hero 3+ with no filters attached. Has anyone else experienced this? Haven't flown with it yet, as the weather is horrible, but will...
