    Darwin at work again?

Where I'm at rain is so common we become ecstatic when it isn't raining. In the Pacific Northwest a good weather report will state there's a 5% chance of sun at some point during the day. Of course that will be offset by the rest of the weather forcast that mentions the rest of the day will...

    Darwin at work again?

"Journalists" are not known for their punctuation skills. A comma or two would be helpful in making a decent line break.

Four BILLION Drones Sold Last Year!

BIG fat fingers.... I don't believe a word of the quantity reference, and sales for this last Christmas were waaaay below the anticipated estimate, which partially explains the price cuts going on now.

Won't be long before someone pops up with a drone anti sniping kit.

4 scales for accurate balancing of a Quad

In theory the scales should note any imbalance. It works when establishing the weights on an airplane's landing gear.

    Ridiculous Proposal Courtesy of California

As for that legislator's concept of hanging a license plate on California drones, perhaps the feds already beat him to it with the drone registration rule. That registration number is in principle the same as a license plate. If that California bill passed would such affixing of a license...

    Ridiculous Proposal Courtesy of California

Amazing how some people react when the bullets and blood start making their presence known. The more "coddled" they are the less they can deal with it. Some live for the adrenaline high that comes with all of it, and it's a helluva a rush, while others just take it in stride.

Oh yea, encryption, funny you mention it. Spent a few years flying video payloads around in the sandbox using an encrypted openly available video frequencies. I guess everyone thought the people we were watching was stupid so it took a few years to figure out whatever we were watching they...

    Ridiculous Proposal Courtesy of California

I do believe a rational approach to limiting consumer drones is in order. Once they started selling something any 5 year old could fly they lowered the knowledge and skill set required to literally idiot levels. However, IMO, "giving away the house" is not the way to go about it, nor is...

    Dropped batterys

I think we've all done it, and used some of them anyway. Where you charge and store them can be the difference between a home and a pile of ash.

    Ridiculous Proposal Courtesy of California

I suppose I'll run off and clean all my guns and polish up the tin foil hat. Perhaps tidy up the underground bunker and check the diversity in the survival foods. Keeping that aged inventory rotating out can be a monumental task but it does give some of those drug crazed homeless people...
