So how do yall feel about drones flying over your property?

We try not to think about that red headed step child....

So how do yall feel about drones flying over your property?

I suppose we could fight fire with fire:p

So how do yall feel about drones flying over your property?

Catch-22 big time. We know what we do and why but don't know what others do or why and since we know what can be done we are easily suspicious. Want to make that even worse? Be one that used to get paid to look into people's yards and surrounding areas to watch people to establish patterns of...

    Typhoon H

We may need to wait for more detailed info on that FAA lock out. I became aware of it a couple days ago but Yuneec hasn't broken down how theirs will function. DJI screwed themselves big time by incorporating AirMap as the data provider for their system and it is not even close to accurate in...

    Typhoon H

The Typhoon H looks pretty good and has some really great features. One thing I'm uncertain about is whether or not the CGO-3 and gimbal are included in the $1,799.99 price. If it is, Oh My. If not things could get expensive quick. Horizon lists the CGO-3 camera and stabilized tilt gimbal...

So how do yall feel about drones flying over your property?

That's actually something I've already discussed with my county government but they said not to bother. They already get high res aerial photos from the Feds...

So how do yall feel about drones flying over your property?

Permission matters, and to obtain it indicates someone has respect for other people. If someone flies over my house, which is set back and "privatized" somewhat similar to yours, it's no big deal as long as it's just "passing through". OTOH, if it parks over my house and starts looking around...

    Typhoon H

Collision avoidance is there as a basic feature, but the Intel stuff is optional and adds to the price. FPV Guy did an interview with one of the Yuneec reps at CES and has it posted on You Tube. Nice little unit but I'm a lot more interested in their Tornado 920. If I can hang an a6000 under...

    Blade Chroma with CGO3 4k

For those so inclined, a shop named Carolina Dronz seems to be a pretty good place for after market Chroma stuff. I've only used them once to obtain the carbon Chroma props but their service was really good. Also available for the Phantom it seems. They include a business card with your...

Michael Huerta FAA Administrator 181k people have already registered RPA

Such would not need to be so specialized. Neither the amateur or the pro is being represented at the moment and both have concerns much too similar in too many areas to be separated. There's no reason one organization could serve for both. Simple enough to say but likely more difficult in...

Michael Huerta FAA Administrator 181k people have already registered RPA

What's equally interesting is that the number of people that have registered is very close to the published number of AMA members and that number is not even close to the number of people flying "drones". That should provide a little cause for the AMA to step back and realize just how badly...

    Power Systems for Industrial Heavy-Lift

What about ESC's for these motors? There has in the past been issues with power ratings and heat with KDE ESC's for their large motors. Rob, I don't know about the flight times but I have no problem believing the 80kg lift capability.

    Props protection

They work. Similar have been used on giant scale plane propellers for a long time. The only difference is ours lay flat instead of vertical, and ours are more fragile.

Michael Huerta FAA Administrator 181k people have already registered RPA

With all due respect, our government, via a plethora of LEA's has been data mining our phones for several years. Look up "Stingray" and see what they openly report it does, who uses it, where, and under what authority. Don't fool yourself into thinking it only does what they've reported. What...

    Question about payloads

For our purposes lift and thrust equate to the same thing. We don't have an aerodynamic body to generate lift so all lift is derived from thrust. Payload, often called useful load, normally covers everything an aircraft can carry additional to its "dry" weight. So payload is inclusive of fuel...
