Dropped batterys

Just dropped 2 brand new battery's on my garage floor, haven't even charged them yet. Grrr.... that's $100 worth of battery's that I can never trust because they each have a nice dent on the corner.

I have dropped batteries also but I still charged and used them without any problems

If there is visible damage to the foil cases, I would be VERY careful....
Over the years, I have had second hand knowledge of a few Lipo fires.....
The can make you loose everything.....
Not worth the risk in my opinion....

I think we've all done it, and used some of them anyway. Where you charge and store them can be the difference between a home and a pile of ash.

Steel ammo cans can be your friends. I leave the lids closed, but not latched. I'd try the dropped batteries, just watch them carefully when charging, and check for heat, and/or puffyness. Either one of those while charging, and I'd scrap them. I've dropped some before, but on a carpet floor, no problem. Also, I've found a pretty big difference in the quality of different brands of lipo's. Some good, some pretty cwappy. Most of the time, you get what you pay for.
