XAircraft Should I reused an FC that was involved in a violent crash?

Thanks fltundra, if no further good comes of this thread, I have learnt something important. I was under the impression that my FC would automatically go to failsafe if my tx signal was lost. I'll work on it tonight to sort. Although, I must say, before I get too guilty of putting myself and...

XAircraft Should I reused an FC that was involved in a violent crash?

If you were flying in a remote location its highly unlikely. 2.4ghz and 1.2ghz fpv video transmitters shouldn't be used with 2.4ghz RC though. Here in the uk, the 2.4ghz band is jammed full with use by various technologies but complete loss of control is rare even when flying in residential...

XAircraft Should I reused an FC that was involved in a violent crash?

From an FC point of view, only if you are in GPS mode. In Atti mode, your FC wouldn't even know the compass had gone.. That's not to say that the compass module didn't trash a prop which would cause the crash. Andy.

DJI NAZA LIte Compass fails to calibrate.

Hey R, Did you get sorted? Does sound like this is your issue for the failed calibration. Like cootertwo said, nose should point down for the second phase of calibration. Andy.

XAircraft Should I reused an FC that was involved in a violent crash?

Mmmm... see what you're saying. I was coming in from a "trust" angle, ie; is it safe or sensible which I would say "do tests" rather than assume bad. I hadn't considered the high relative cost of the new compass. You could do lots of initial FC testing without a compass using Atti mode. I...

XAircraft Should I reused an FC that was involved in a violent crash?

Hi Traxx, Considering the crash could have been caused by a number of things, I think if we scrapped the entire electronics package every time we crashed, things could get very expensive. You could have had a glitch with the RC gear so do you scrap the TX and RX? Maybe an ESC or a motor failed...

    DJI F450 + NAZA V2 Problem

Hi Marcel, Not a lot to go on here. Once you've turned everything on, are you waiting for full satellite lock, ie LED flashing 2x green? Does it fly ok in Atti mode? Are you letting the Naza aquire satellites near a car or other metal objects? Andy.

No yaw control on new Naza M install

Hi B, So, the rudder slider in assistant is working properly when you move the rudder stick on your tx? Have you got the Naza FC mounted correctly? Are the gain settings per recommended? Andy.

    Motor Idle Speed Naza mv2

Hi Greg, Why don't you try the higher idle speed? Takes two minutes to plug into assistant and change it. You can soon turn it back to your original setting. Lift off point on your sticks will be specific to your spec. I have mine set on the mid idle setting and the fully loaded quad lifts off...

    NAZA-M LITE with Spektrum AR6210 and DX6

Hi Harrison, Is your TX deffinately bound to your RX? Have you installed the driver as well as the Assistant on your PC? Is the Naza LED flashing green when you are hooked up to the PC? Also, you should be supplying power to the Naza through just one of the ESC's. Andy.

Dialing in naza for light breezes?

Hi Greg, Does sound like gains. Have you dialed in the recommended gains for the Tarot? What about trying the recommended gains for another quad, say a TBS Disco or a Flame Wheel F450?

Not sure if this is the correct area for this.. NAZA V2 GPS IOS trouble

Hi Butch, Have you calibrated the compass recently? Does everything look normal in the Assistant? Andy.

    Power switch for VTX

Hi All, I think I want to be able to switch my VTX off on my TBS Disco when flying without FPV. At the moment I just leave its little JST connector unplugged but I think a little switch might be in order. What is everyone using, if anything at all? Andy.

High pitch noise from DJI motors

Thanks ovdt, They are brand new and the bearings are perfectly smooth and quiet. It's an electronic sound, not mechanical. Andy.

High pitch noise from DJI motors

Thanks cootertwo, I think these motors are pre-calibrated to the esc's so I'm not sure if there even is a calibration procedure. I'm certain the noise comes from the motors. I'm starting to get used to it though. Thanks, Andy.

High pitch noise from DJI motors

Hi Everyone, Hope someone can assist with my newbie concern. I've been flying Hubsons and Symas for some time now and have just made the leap to a TBS discovery with bog standard DJI 2216 920KV motor/E300 ESC pack as supplied by one of the main UK Multirotor specialists. It flies great but I'm...
