    bone stock flamewheel/naza on 10x6x3

Raise the basic gains a bit and lower the ATTI gains. Last flight I had the basics set for 150 and the ATTI at 70, smoothest flight I had so far in wind and also very nice for calm air and flying in manual. Today I finally got the chance to try the F450 on a set of Graupner 8 x 5, really...

High Altitude flights: Pleasures and Perils

I've had the Droidworx AD6/MK up to 320 meters according to the flight log and it looked really small at that altitude, little more than a small black dot with some red lights underneath. At the time I had a GoPro attached and somewhere on one of my systems I have that video, I'll have to dig it...

    Zenmuse Gimbal

For those of you that don't frequent the DJI forum here, the DJI Zenmuse gimbal to be announced at the Nuremburg Toy Fair... Ken

Which radio would you get for a WK-M?

Plus the fact that nimh packs need a couple charge/discharge cycles before they reach full capacity and duration, if that's what it came with. Still, I'd chuck it and get a lipo that will last a good 8 hours minimum before needing a recharge. Ken

    Coming soon Zenmuse gimbal

Spotted on another forum, the long awaited DJI uber gimbal... To be announced at Nuremburg Toy Fair along with a couple other interesting bits. Ken

    Altitude Hold

Almost, in the WKM it's controlled by a baro with input from the GPS, otherwise you would not have any altitude hold unless you had satellite acquisition by the GPS. A/H works just fine on the WKM without GPS lock but once it does have a lock it uses that information for a higher degree of...

Servo travel limits you have to set for your mount, they're all a bit different. I use 500 and -500 for the min/max settings on the Roll axis travel limit, the tilt I leave at 1000. Centering you'll have to figure what seetings your mount needs Pitch and roll gains I have set to 22 for each...

Which radio would you get for a WK-M?

Toss the battery that came with it and get a lipo pack for the TX you won't regret it. I swapped over to lipos in my TX a couple years ago and I won't use anything else now, with heavy usage I have to charge the pack every two weeks. Even if I forget to charge the pack when it starts getting low...

    CineStar 6 + WKM + Maytech = WOW!

Graupner 11 x 5 and APC 12 x 6 thin electric. If Graupner made a 12 x 5 I'd use it, unfortunately they don't make standard and pusher props in that size but the APC thin electric is very close to the blade profile of the Graupners and they work fairly well. Of course they're not nicely balanced...

Where do you order prints from?

Try the local camera shop, a lot of them have the capability on site or can turn them around with a local lab pretty quickly. Hardly anyone uses film anymore so a lot of places now have large dye sublimation printers to do electronic images to paper. Ken

Hexa flies stable but camera control goes mad

Are you using analog servos on the camera mount? If you are you may need to switch to digital servos. If you have digital servos, use a seperate BEC to power the servos and connect only the signal wire to the WKM. Ken

    Wookong M waypoint

If you're using the power module you should have enough ports to keep everything connected with the data link installed. I have the 900 mHz that has two ports so I just routed the LED through the data link and it works fine that way. If you're not using the power module you may have problems...

Bumble Bee OEM or Copy of Naza

It is a software limited version of the Naza OEM'd from DJI. Quad only and no support for a camera gimbal, while the hardware is the same as the Naza inside the box the firmware is much different. I suppose if one were talented enough with assembly level programming it might be possible to hack...

    Wookong M waypoint

I had a small window of opportunity to get the Droidworx AD6 out in the backyard to test the datalink and Ground Station, the first step to doing a full test of Click and Go Waypoint. All went well, I was able to connect the ground station to the WKM via the 900 mHz datalink with no problem...

    S-bus comes to Spektrum

I'm guessing you didn't know about these then... http://www.ronlund.com/rcheli-prod/FUTM4194.html I'd trust this setup long before I'd trust a cloned RX made in China to control an expensive APV rig... Ken

    Wookong M waypoint

That's fine for non-critical apps but I'm not sure its such a good idea for controlling an aircraft in real time. Ken

    Wookong M waypoint

Top of page 9 in the Ground Station user manual "Operating system requirement: Windows XP, Vista, 7 (32-bits only)" I've got the datalink with Waypoint setup on my Droidworx AD6 and it seems to be working reliably, on the bench at least. If I can get a break in the crap weather we're having...

    dji motor shafts

These are the ones I use, I've flown them on 3 and 4S http://www.lukesrcplanes.com/product/suppo-2212-15. I currently have a set that have seen a lot of use and abuse on my APV quad, RTF weight is right around 1 kilo carrying a pair of 2S 5000 in series and a GoPro in the Coptersky mount, seems...

    Flamewheel F 450 parts available

Graupner props bolt right on, at least the 10 and 11 inch sizes that already have 8mm centerholes, and I just happen to have a bunch of both! :) Allegedly the F450 flys a lot smoother on 8 inch props especially in wind, I'll have to test that rumor once mine get here. Ken

Nine reasons why Bill Gates should have been suffocated at birth

If it were mine the first thing I'd do is flush the pathetic Win7 home edition that comes preloaded for something that has some Ba**s like Win7 Ultimate, that removes any arbitrary limitations put in place to induce the purchaser to upgrade the OS. Since I have a technet subscription it costs me...
